    Hi t8.
I don’t know about the half an hours silence in heaven, but I have been looking into it.

God’s silence is often described by people as a “wilderness” experience. Even with Abraham, God was silent for 13 years. But then He spoke to him again.

Have you read “Dark Night of the Soul” by St John of the Cross? There’s an mp3 version (which I am listening to). http://www.ccel.org/ccel/john_cross/dark_night/mp3

So for me right now, there seems to be a renewed passion to do the works of God. To take the opportunities he gives me and to also travel or do new things so that more of these opportunities open up. By that I mean do not get stuck in a rut where everyday is the same. Live with a sense of adventure. Life is a great adventure and we should enjoy the life God has given us and look for the opportunities he gives us. As each moment passes, they are gone forever. Remembered perhaps, but gone in the sense that you cannot change it. For each day where you did nothing of significance, it is like the blank frames in your film camera. Once the roll comes to an end, they are wasted and there is no reward. The only thing you we have of value are the good shots we take when they are presented to us.

Good you have a renewed passion to do God’s works.

Every opportunity brings it’s challenges as well. So, remember to do things focused, and with love.

This is the reason for the half hour silence.

Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

Revelation 8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

Revelation 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Revelation 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

Revelation 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Revelation 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

      wakeup.
