Rejecting Jesus Christ

Rejecting Jesus

Rejecting Jesus as the Christ is rejecting God’s salvation.

Rejecting the teachings of Jesus Christ is rejecting God’s instructions.

Rejecting Jesus as the Son of God inhibits your own sonship that God is offering you.

Rejecting Jesus as the messenger of God is rejecting God’s message.

Rejecting Jesus as the Word of God is rejecting God’s own word.

Rejecting Jesus as wisdom from God is rejecting God’s wisdom.

Rejecting Jesus as the firstborn of all creation is to reject his headship and the headship of Christ which is God.

Reject Jesus and you reject God.

The scriptures are clear about this.

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.…

and

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.…

Rejecting Jesus as the firstborn of all creation is to reject his headship and the headship of Christ which is God.

This is something strange concept on Messiah if Jesus was a real one as per the Hebrew Bible.

The question of rejection of Jesus comes after knowing his personality and his background. If he was a Jew by birth he should have followed Hebrew religion and its God. I don’t think he had invented any new religion apart from his own religion, Judaism.

The Jesus of the NT and Christianity seems to me entirely different  Jesus who was mystified and deified. Here comes the question of rejection of such Jesus.

We are aware that there are all manner of excuses for rejecting the messiah. God gave us the freedom to choose him. This also includes the freedom to reject him.

Your excuse is Jesus doesnt fit your idea of the messiah as portrayed in the OT. But there is an underlying reason for this. Something that makes you look for technicalities, that will make you feel comfortable with your choice to reject him.

One such excuse is he doesn’t  look like the king of Israel. These things take time. First things first. The sacrificial lamb was replaced by the lamb of God providing a sacrifice once and for all to deal with sin, past, present, and future. And a king may not always be seated so that you can see him. He reigns on high. Too high for you to comprehend.

At the appointed time the king will return to our realm and all eyes will see him. Will you be ready or will you be one of those pounding on the door to be let in, but being too late.

Like the ark, will you be in the safety of the messiah or will you be left in the ocean of judgment from a God that punishes outstanding sin. And sacrificing a lamb to cover your sin won’t work. If the sacrifice for sin is rejected, then by what plan are your own sins dealt with.

Why call him Messiah if he was not satisfying the conditions for Hebrew Messiah? Why take the excuse of Messiah for supporting Christian arguments on Jesus?

Jesus being the sacrificial Lamb of God is another imagination of Christianity. God never appreciated human sacrifice on the alter in the Hebrew Bible. In fact he hated such abominations and pagan religious practices in Hebrew Bible.

    Deut. 12:29-31

When the Lord your God cuts off before you the nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, take heed that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do likewise.’ You shall not do so to the Lord your God; for every abominable thing which the Lord hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.

So what is your say my friend?

What’s the no1 thing that he didnt fulfill that comes to your mind?

    1. He will be King over united Kingdom of Israel

2.Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
    3. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
    4. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:4)
    5. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: “God will be King over all the world – on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One” (Zechariah 14:9).

Please read these verses in Hebrew Bible too.

    Isaiah 2:1-4, 32:15-18, 60:15-18; Zephaniah 3:9; Hosea 2:20-22; Amos 9:13-15; Micah 4:1-4; Zechariah 8:23, 14:9; Jeremiah 31:33-34.

If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be the Messiah.

Because no one has ever fulfilled the Bible’s description of this future King, Jews still await the coming of the Messiah. All past Messianic claimants, including Jesus of Nazareth, Bar Cochba and Shabbtai Tzvi have been rejected.

Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in the Second Coming. Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright; in the Bible no concept of a second coming exists.

Yes, that is Jesus. But because you have rejected him, it would theoretically be too late for you by the time he fulfils all.

    Revelation 20:4
Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it. And the king said to them, “I had a dream, and my spirit is troubled to know the dream.” Then the Chaldeans said to the king in Aramaic, “O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.” The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, “The word from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be torn limb from limb, and your houses shall be laid in ruins. …
