    1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come (Object: God's Son), and hath given us an understanding,

    “Subject” and “Object” are a part of every paragraph structure. You will learn all about this when you take High School English.

    Jammin,

    I am merely explaining what should be clear to that understand English; that is that Paul is demonstrating the mind that is in Jesus that he previous instructed also have.

    How can you have a mind like Christ if you do not know what it is?  Paul knows that and demonstrated the mind of Christ in action.

    If you object to a mature believer being Christlike and therefore being being in the form of God then you object to the goal of the gospel.

    God poured of the Holy Spirit into Jesus who gives it to his body.
    Eternal life is in the Spirit given to Jesus.

    that's what john wants to tell us in 1 john 5.20

    the father is the true GOD
    the son is the true GOD

    they have the same nature, GOD!

    You are well aware that a mature believer is in the form of God from what Peter writes, if not from the fact that Jesus is being used as an example in Philippians 2:5-.

    We can go from there or become we can become involved in a useless argument.

    You are sounding irrational so there is no sense dealing with you on this issue. Perhaps on another issue or this one at a different time as God is working on you.

    God does not allow you to put words in His mouth.
    But He does require you to be born of the Spirit to understand Him.[1Cor2]
