The Spanish Flu was truly horrific

The last true worldwide pandemic infected about 30% of the then world’s population of 1.8 billion in 1918 and killed millions with some estimates as high as 50 million. It was called the Spanish Flu because Spain was the only country truthfully reporting the infection and death rates. Other countries were still fighting WWI and didn’t want the enemy to know the true extent of the virus’s impact while Spain remained neutral in WWI.

The Spanish Flue was a Swine Flu and it spread among troops who were often in cramp conditions on military bases. It decimated whole military bases and with troops being moved and stationed all over the place, the virus was spread throughout Europe. The virus found its way to the rest of the world just because of the sheer number of infected and the lack of knowledge about viruses and how they were spread.

“I see a plague coming on the world, and the bars, churches and government will shut down,” he said. “The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayer-less believers into radical prayer and into their Bibles, and repentance will be the cry from the man of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world.”

Did China Blame Wet Market To ‘Deflect Blame’ From Lab?

I think any clear thinking person could see that Wuhan being the only level 4 bio lab in the country was just a bit too coincidental and the wet markets close by a bit too convenient an excuse if a virus escaped. People were hesitant to say anything though in case they were labeled a conspiracy theorist. And the fact that the market is open again kind of points to the notion that they know it is not the market that is the source, unless of course they are just plain irresponsible. And keeping the market open provides the excuse once more if the lab screws up again, because if there is no market in Wuhan, then the lab is the only other place to blame. Of course this needs to be substantiated, but on the outset, there is enough coincidences here to investigate this.

Primary schools are operating again under level three. With all due respect to the government, this is one of the biggest mistakes they could make.

This is what I think. If the government extend the level 4 lockdown and kill the economy, they won’t be elected in the next election.

And the problem is, Australia was basically in a level 3 lockdown and their stats are apparently similar to ours.

So if Australia come out of this with a better economy with ours being totally wrecked, then we will see Kiwis moving across the Tasman in droves once again.

A fine balancing act is needed here. If they go too hard with the lockdown, it is likely suicides will outnumber Coronavirus deaths. If they are too soft, then people will die unnecessarily while the economy will be good.

A tough position for any government to be in right now IMO.

    Hi Miia,

New evidence suggests that the coronavirus may have nothing to do with
the wet markets, and nothing to do with eating meat (as you suggest).

Three new cases. Wow, this might end soon as long as people are thoroughly checked before coming into our country.
