Blood Red Moon during Passover

Blood Red Moon

I watched the Passover 4/4/2015 Blood Moon here in New Zealand. The sky was mostly clear and view unobstructed.

No that is not my photo above, but I have learned why the moon goes red. Apparently every sunrise and every sunset in the world during the Blood Moon is cast onto the moon and transforms it into a great red orb.

During this sign and the complete Tetrad we continue to see the the Middle East transform. We now see what looks like a Shia Sunni war beginning to emerge. We live in interesting times and God gives us signs using the sun, moon, and stars. But most people ignore these signs and think they are insignificant. Using the Gregorian Calendar only exacerbates the situation.

As Christians, we should not put our faith in astrology, but God absolutely does use the heavens for signs to mankind. In Genesis 1:14 we read:

God said, ”Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”

It is also interesting to note that the word ‘seasons’ here is the same word ‘feasts‘. The Hebrew word for both is the single word ‘mo’edim’.

We also read in Matthew 2:1-2, that wise men were led to Jesus by a star.

“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”

Matthew 2:9-10 says,

“When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.”

God speaks to mankind in many ways. Through scripture, the prophets, apostles, and his own son. God also speaks to us using his own creation. We read that “the Heavens declare the glory of God” and we know that God specifically uses the sun, moon, and stars as signs and feasts.

Sometimes we only need to look up to see God speaking to us.

Luke 21:28
When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

It is time to look up if you love God. Your redemption draws nearer by the day and we are living in significant times.

Make sure you are ready if he were to return today.

    Hi All

    Signs in the sky.

The Bible actually gives much credence to astronomical signs and Herod knew this. It records a divine revelation given to the patriarch Joseph in which the twelve tribes of Israel were compared to the twelve zodiacal signs. Joseph dreamed that the Sun represented his father, the Moon (being feminine) his mother, and his eleven brothers were the other eleven constellations of the Zodiac (Joseph himself being the twelfth). “Behold, I have dreamed a dream more: and behold the sun and the moon and the eleven stars did obeisance to me.” 11

So consistent, methodical and symbolic were those motions of the heavenly bodies that King David in Psalm 19 equated the celestial bodies with the perfection of the teachings of God. David said that all of the stars, planets, Moon and Sun spoke a “language” to all people on earth. He said there was,

“no speech, nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line [rule or motion] is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.” 12

David was saying that these heavenly bodies spoke symbolic teachings to people in the world. Even the apostle Paul quoted Psalm 19 and said that the heavenly bodies symbolically spoke with their voice or their words and that their sounds were heard throughout the world. “Their [the stars] sound went into all the earth, and their [the stars] words unto the ends of the world.” 13The heavenly bodies contained much symbolic teaching as far as people in the 1st century were    concerned.I hope this helps to show that there is signs in the sky.

    God bless

    What was the significant sign?

Looking back we can see many significant events that have taken place, but if we had to guess which one was significant with the Tetrad, then I would have to say that it was the rise of ISIS followed by the Islamic wave of refugees into Europe. However, the other signs were significant for Israel, so how is the huge increase of Islamic immigration in Europe significant to Israel? I cannot give you that answer, but a guess off the top of my head would be that the rise of Islam in Europe could be significant to Israel one day in the future.

Since then however, a huge significant sign for Israel happened on December 6, 2017 which was the United States recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel, US President Donald Trump announced the United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel[1] and ordered the planning of the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

So could this sign be what the Tetrad was pointing to? One would think yes, but the dates do not line up exactly.

    Thoughts…

Now that the Tetrad of 2014-15 has passed, can we see what if anything God was highlighting?

Since the first century, there have been 62 tetrads with only eight coinciding with both Jewish feasts making them significant in a biblical sense. These are the years of the last four tetrads:

    • Tetrad of 1493-1494
    • Tetrad of 1949-1950
    • Tetrad of 1967-1968
    • Tetrad of 2014 – 2015

So were these years significant for Israel, the Jews, or Bible prophecy in general? At first glance the year 1967 certainly stands out to most students of prophecy, but what happened in and around these last four significant tetrads?

    1493- 1494

The Spanish Inquisition was a significant event for the Jews that took place in 1492 just one year prior. That year, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain gave the Jewish population a mere four months to convert to Catholicism or leave the country. It is estimated that between 165,000 and 400,000 Jews fled the country at this time. As many as 50,000 decided to stay, converting to Roman Catholicism.

Many historians now believe that Christopher Columbus was Jewish and they believe his voyage to the west in 1492 was his way of escaping the Spanish Inquisition of that year which of course resulted in his discovery of America. Some studies of Columbus show he was a deeply religious man whose purpose was to sail to Asia to obtain gold in order to finance a crusade to take back Jerusalem and rebuild the Jews’ holy temple. Whether true or not, his voyage was not as is commonly believed, funded by Queen Isabella, but rather by two Jews who converted to Catholicism to avoid death. Louis de Santangel and Gabriel Sanchez advanced an interest free loan of 17,000 ducats from their own pockets to help pay for the voyage. Another prominent Jew, Don Isaac Abrabanel, who was a rabbi and Jewish statesman, also donated money for the voyages of Christopher Columbus.

Just a couple of months before 1493, Columbus discovered America and in 1493 there was a tetrad perhaps signifying how important these events would be  for the Jews. As we know, Jews migrated to America to escape persecution resulting in the United States having the largest Jewish population on earth today with more Jewish people than even Israel. Certainly this was a significant time in Jewish history.

    1949-1950

After the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD, Jews were driven into exile. The Jewish people were scattered through the nations of the world but still managed to retained their identity. After the WWII holocaust, the Jews were finally granted their homeland. On May 14, 1948, the modern state of Israel was born. In 1949,  Israel was officially recognized as a legal state by the United States with Israel becoming a member of the United Nations in 1949 after the Israeli elections.

    1967

God said many times in the Old Testament that He would place His name in Jerusalem. The Jews during their 2,000 years of exile turned their faces toward Jerusalem each day praying for the restoration of their beloved ancient city and the rebuilding of the temple. On June 7, 1967 the Jordanians launched an attack against Israel and west Jerusalem. Israel counter-attacked driving Jordan out of east Jerusalem, out of Judea-Samaria, and back into its own land across the Jordan River. Jerusalem was undivided and under Jewish control for the first time since the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD.

    2014 – 2015

So what happened in 2014 and 2015 that was significant for Israel and / or the Jews? Well there were certainly some significant events that took place in the Middle East. First we saw the rise of ISIS with their leader Baghdadi eventually proclaiming an Islamic caliphate from the Great Mosque of al-Nuri in Mosul in mid-2014. In 2015 the caliphate seemed unstoppable but met serious resistance with US air strikes but with ISIS maintaining their ground. By 2016, ISIS was losing territory it had gained and in 2019 they were driven out of the last remaining pockets of land they held.

So was this significant to Israel or the Jews? Well it did seem at the time that ISIS could eventually attack Israel, but their defeat put a stop to that plan. This however led to a different problem, that of the European migrant crisis. In 2015, millions of Muslims fled to Europe to escape ISIS and in the confusion many Muslims from Africa also took advantage of the opportunity to go to Europe for better economic opportunities. This wave of Muslims and the Islamic culture they brought with them could have a profound impact on Israel in the future as the percentage of Muslim Europeans increases due to immigration and a also a higher birth rate. In years or decades to come, parts of Europe could have a Muslim majority population leading to a more Islamic Europe than a Christian Europe. Could this be the catalyst for what we read about the last days regarding the persecution of both Christians and Jews including death and as it is written even beheadings, Well if ISIS was a catalyst then yes that could happen in the future. Time will reveal all of course.

But were there any other significant events during or after this tetrad? Yes there was a significant event for Israel and Jerusalem in particular. That event was the presidential campaign of Donald Trump which was launched on June 16, 2015, the same year as the tetrad. Then in November 8, 2016 Trump became the President. On December 6, 2017, he announced the United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The US embassy was officially opened in Jerusalem on May 14, 2018 which coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Israeli Declaration of Independence.

In hindsight, if God was using this tetrad to show us a significant sign, then it was probably the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and its endorsement by the United States. It does follow the pattern of the other tetrads in question which relate to Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jews. However, Islamic immigration to Europe could also be a significant end time factor that could have a profound impact on both the Jews and Christians in the future.

    @edj

I suspect that the ‘dome of the rock’ will be coming down in the year 2023. I will explain the calculations.
Prophecy is given as “a day for a year”. ‘dome of the rock'(abomination of desolation) was built in 688AD.

    688 + 1260 = 1948

And the woman(Israel) fled into the wilderness(Nations), where she hath a place prepared of God,
that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (Rev 12:6)

    688 + 1335 = 2023

And here’s how the year 2023 comes in…
“Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the
thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.” (Dan 12:12)

    Ed (witness)

Hi Ed. Do you still think this will happen given that it is now September 2023?
