Quote (Stu @ May 21 2009,01:25) Quote (t8 @ May 20 2009,13:38) Again Stu, your belief in action and of course your belief overrides any evidence to the contrary. What a faith you have in your own bias and understanding.
It is not me claiming that untold thousands wandered the Middle Eastern desert or died in a world-wide flood. Archeologists and botanists have uncovered no evidence for these things where you would expect a significant physical record. You are making these falsifiable claims. They appear to be false, but science is open to your evidence. Where is it?
Stuart
stu, what makes your science correct ? in the torah, it speaks of many things that should not be done, just recently science now agrees, why is it taking your science so long to figure out what has already been written?
to me, waiting on science to figure it out is well quite blah, why should i have to wait, when what i really need to know in life has already been given.
you keep waiting for science to figure it out for you then you have faith (in science) when you believe what they say then you have belief, when you put all this above everything else in life then you have a god you worship, why are you trying to seperate yourself when you are the same?
why pounding so hard, well it could be that you are in the wrong place, take some godly advice if they do not accept the word, shake the dust off your cloak and move on.
science will figure it out for you……… well, it could be a long wait, but you keep waiting………
much love

It could mean that this is what the Arians called themselves when they were converted to the truth!WJ
point taken, not acceptedso why the 'nit' ? …………. 'nit pick'………hummm
and the 'tri'…..well you have tried to place a camel through the eye of a needle on that one many times…

reneMay 13, 2009 at 11:49 pm#130947wild_olive_branchParticipantwj,
trinitarians use words like 'heck' slang for hell, or 'hold my breath' which means not going to happen, either say what you mean or mean what you say…………that is why you are a tri nit arian.
come to know the true and living Yah…..and no i am not a jew……..consider me more of a hebrew.
love and prayers to you and yours

Every body has an opinion who the “image” is, does any one know who the beast was?
If you don't know the beast, how can you know the image?
After all, you do know what an image is, don't you?

Quote Scripture talks about having a form of godliness, but denying the power of God. I knew a couple of people like that. They had a religious belief but no real depth regarding their faith because they were not that interested in it to begin with. They gave up because it seemed pointless to carry on with their belief. he cuts down cedars for himself and takes cypress and oak……… yeshayahu 44/14
they do not know or understand for he has smeared their eyes from seeing, and their hearts from understanding and no one recalls it to his heart nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say ' i have burned half of it in the fire and i have also baked bread on it coals, i have roasted meat and eaten it and shall i make the rest of it an abonimation? should i fall down before a log of wood

in general reading many cultures primal/civilized, the transition to adulthood is huge, ceremonies are held, certain teachings ect. ect….
thank you for sharing your experience, it has given me some peace.

reneMay 5, 2009 at 11:27 pm#130065wild_olive_branchParticipantblessings kerwin always good to hear from you,
the majority believe that 'coming of age' is when a child is responsible for his/her salvation. thank you for your opinion, interesting as it is.

reneMay 3, 2009 at 12:22 am#129782wild_olive_branchParticipantblessings marty,
tend to stay away from traditions marty, a child being raised in the word would tend to take his/her walk with Christ earlier then one who was not, so age or maturity may have nothing to do with it. would almost contend with a 'adult' who accepts Christ as their lord and master.
society has changed so much, for a child to wed at the age of fourteen was no matter at one time, now is different.
denominations have their set rules, even pagan cultures have 'passage to adulthood'
what words/actions could a child do, for one to say yes he/she is ready to walk with Christ ?
much love and peace

April 27, 2009 at 7:49 pm#129262wild_olive_branchParticipanthey nick, we said that too, the evil had to ask first though and it was a test, the model prayer thank you, my memory serves me right i believe that the writers added to the end of his teachings……..kingdom and power glory, whatever it is.
shaul had yah turn away from him by an evil/harmful spirit…..

reneApril 27, 2009 at 7:29 pm#129259wild_olive_branchParticipantmy sister stopped in today and we open scriptures and read some kepha, yaaqob…..then she ask me about 1 samuel…..since the topic is about errors i have a question………
in 1 samuel 18.10 the esv reads a harmful spirit….the isr/kjv/nasb reads evil spirit but this spirit was sent by Yah…………is this a mistranslation?
we did not understand 'evil spirit' we understand that certain messengers have certain titles, in further reading it states that the spirit of yah had turned from him /12.
any insight?
thank you in advance on the matter
much love

reneApril 27, 2009 at 7:03 pm#129249wild_olive_branchParticipanthey nick, the disciples rebuke the children at first
having a child like faith i feel is not a bad thing, we must live by faith, things that cannot be seen, we know that our father will take care of us, in what is needed to follow his will.
this must be a subject some do either feel is not important or they do not know. such a shame to see that ones do not care to take the time to understand the children and their walk with Christ.
to plant the seed, to teach his love.
no wonder the children of today see us as they do
his love and peace
