Gene,
Ro. 1:20, NASB:
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”
KJV: “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the thing…[Read more]

Kerwin, I believe musterion is in the neuter case, not masculine. Therefore ὅς is referring to someone else.

Your Bible Hub, like many lexicons, lumps the relative pronouns ὅς, ἥ, and ὅ together. If you look a little closer at each one, though, you will find that ὅς is a masculine, singular pronoun. This means that, when referring to a person, it means “who” (masc.) or, in other words, “he who” or even just “he.”
The neuter relative pronoun ὅ wo…[Read more]

Whoever wrote that Ignatius used “God” in a quote of 1 Tim. 3:16 is, I believe, completely wrong.
I would appreciate an answer to my question.
Why is there no name or information for the person who made that comment?

Christian: The Codex Sinaiticus renders the verse to say “He”…
…And yet Ignatius, a first century apostolic father references the verse to say “God”.
Is there an explanation for this?

Tigger: I can’t find it. Please give epistle name and chapter number.

The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology, Zondervan, 1986, tells us:>
“The reason why judges are called ‘gods’ in Ps. 82 is that they have the office of administering God’s judgment as ‘sons of the Most High’. In context of the Ps the men in question have failed to do this…. On the other hand, Jesus fulfilled the role of a…[Read more]

YHWH (Yahweh/Jehovah) is the Most High God – Ps 83:18.
YHWH (Yahweh/Jehovah) is the Father – Is. 64:8.

Excellent point, Mike.
Have you ever heard an intelligent answer to the question of how Jesus can be equally God when he specifically said the Father is the only true God? – John 17:1, 3.
