Hi Berean,
Using logic and literalism you fail to recognise the Spirit.

The Spirit of Christ is not the human spirit of the man Jesus of Nazareth.
It is the Spirit of anointing, the Spirit of eternal life. His human spirit left his body at his death on Calvary , as recorded, and he became alive only by the Holy Spirit, like Jonah, and he was raised by it to earthly life again, like Jonah.

Preexistence is an oxymoron. To exist before you exist?

Hi Berean,
No the human vessel did not exist till his conception in Mary.
The Spirit of Christ was in the beginning with God and was God .

The Spirit of Christ was found in fashion as a man at the Jordan.
That amazing vessel allowed the nature and the works of God to be done through him.
flesh contributes nothing.

Hi C,
We know from Ps 104 that the Spirit creates.
We know that Jesus was conceived in, and born of Mary.
No suggestion in scripture that she was not the mother of the Lord Jesus.
Are you telling us a conceptus was placed in the womb and she was only a surrogate mother?

Hi C,
Conception in humans – Jesus began life and was conceived in Mary- requires contribution of an egg from the woman and a sperm from the male source.
how do you see it again?

The Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.
He was anointed at the Jordan and led by the Spirit after that.

Of course the door of the kingdom had yet to be opened when Jesus spoke to the woman at the well. He had yet to die and been resurrected and taken to heaven to give the Spirit to others.

Hi C,
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. 2 Cor 5.19
Do you believe this?
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making as appeal through us;
We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Cor 5.20
such is the gospel.

Hi C,
Surely his Father’s business was to preach the gospel to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the favourable year of the Lord as he said in Lk 4.
