He was in nature God, not identity, but he humbled himself instead of taking advantage of this. He took on the nature of a servant instead, being made in human likeness. As a man, he humbled himself to the point of death. From being in nature God to being made lower than the angels to even death. We read elsewhere that he is with God in the glory he had with him before the universe. When you understand this, you understand the true price that was paid for your sin and you appreciate why the Lamb of God is worthy.
