Your own understanding is at play here. Yes we know that God is spirit and the Father of spirits and that angels are spirits. Saying that the Word is the Spirit of God is stretching too far toward your own understanding because it doesn’t say that at least not in the verse you bring up.

But your literal view of Phil 2 is different. BEING of his own nature GOD you see is quite different. Expound this please.I’ll give you a clue. There is divine nature and flesh nature. The latter makes us fall short of God’s glory. Do not satisfy the flesh.

Do you think HE WAS CONCEIVED means the same as A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME and THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH?
If so was Jesus conceived as just a body for the Word?Actually that is what your teaching appeared to be like, but you admitted that he had a soul, so that was good. Jesus is the Christ, not some empty shell that was overtaken by God.

does that fit with being conceived?He took on flesh. He came in a body, a body of a man. He became a man so we could become sons of God just as he is a son. He became like us so we could become like him.

Men have quoted scripture in ignorance forever.
Get the Author to help.Getting the author to help is a good thing. I hope you will do that as I will endeavour to do. When he said today in the city of David, he meant what he said. Please pray to the author of scripture about why he sent an angel to declare that the messiah was in their presence.

A bit surprised that you would not defend the beliefs that underlie your doctrines.
Was Jesus some sort of spirit being prior to his conception?Be not surprised. Read my posts. I have answered this an many questions like it for years now. Shouldn’t take you too long to find the answer you seek.

So you can appoint whatever meaning to scripture you wish.

Yes those who are infallible are always correct in their reading of scripture.
They have no need to learn or change because they already know it all.Wake up from your slumber, open your ears and eyes and begin to live.
It’s just a matter of believing what is written rather than be swayed by false teachers who always add their own spin.

We are told the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and then we are told that the son is back in the glory he had with the Father before the cosmos. We are told God created all things through the Word and through the Son. Then we notice that it is written that when he returns, he has a name, the Word of God. Draw your own conclusion.
