    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    God had a plan for his naming which He revealed and it was done after his birth.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      No it wasn’t,it was revealed *before* he was born…
      “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the HolySpirit 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name…[Read more]

      “And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.”

      And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
      Luke 1:31 (KJV)

    @EdJ Hi Ed
    Those who have a place in his body, a role, a job to do are working in him.
    The Body of Christ is real and active and all serve the head.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Do you doubt that the Holy Spirit is from eternity?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Why would imputed righteousness make a finger of the body of Christ any different.?
    Being part of his body is being one with the Lord.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    You think the message of property of the angel means he was already named?
    YOU WILL CALL HIS NAME JESUS.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Prophecy describes the future as if it is the present.
    Prophetically the Messiah was born.

    @t8 Hi t8,
    Yes all who are in the kingdom are in Christ.
    What is true about Christ applies to them too.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      Wait a minute Nick. This verse is, according to your doctrine, wrong???

      “But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;” (Romans 4:24)

      We partake in the promises. But Christ is seated with the Father. Some of us will be seated with the Son. The head of the man is Christ and the head of Christ is God.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi t8,
    Yes he is the Christ appointed for you.
    God does not change His mind or His appointments.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi T8,
    Still lost when looking at the prophetic word spoken by men or angels.
    Makes you think but not fall back on intellectual understanding.
    Be transformed by the renewal of your mind unto Christ.

    @t8 Hi T8,
    Col 1.25
    Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God
    Bestowed on me for your benefit, that I might carry out the preaching of the
    word of God, that is the mystery which has been hidden from past ages and
    generations but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed
    to make known what is the…[Read more]

      Jesus was the Christ in the City of David. It is written. I claim nothing. I simply repeat what was proclaimed by an angel. You are free not to believe. But be careful of criticism because God sent the angel to proclaim this.

    @Jodi Hi Jodi,
    As you say man is subject to many inner temptations.
    Easy prey to Satan whose minions indwell natural men and produce his fruit.
    The Flesh belongs to his kingdom and none in furs can be better for than Paul who wanted to be free of it.

    @t8 Hi T8,
    God also witnessed to John by the sign given.
    God that you realise that the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1Cor 12)only manifested in the man Jesus after his Anointing.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi T8,
    Yes John knew by the prophetic Spirit in him that Jesus was the Messiah and as king and high priest to be greater than he was.

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      He could have known before the baptism that he was the Christ. He certainly recognised that he was greater than himself, of whom was said to be the greatest man born of a woman, but even the least in the kingdom was greater. Makes you think.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      Before he was even baptized with God’s HolySpirit, Nick?

      Seems your doctrine needs some reworking!

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi T8,
    Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
    Do you think this means he was anointed in the beginning or anointed twice, or never needed anointing?

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      I have time for one more dart I suppose.
      When he was born in the City of David, he was the saviour and the Christ.
      He was baptized by John who was filled with the Spirit even when in the womb. John though it wise that the one greater than him should baptize him instead, but Jesus said to do it to fulfill all righteousness and we know that it was a…[Read more]

    @t8 Hi T8,
    God has spoken to us through His Son.
    Before Abraham I am.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi t8,
    If God has blessed you why do you not respond to His message?
    Should He need to cultivate a little more around your tree?

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      Pray and ask God for understanding. I know he is generous, but you have to be responsible when you receive things from him.
