Hi Ed,
The context can help.
The Son of God was offering a bridge of understanding to a man yet entrapped in carnal thinking.
The answer he gave was spiritual.

Hi Ed,
two questions and the answer is to follow Jesus.
We follow Jesus through the waters of baptism -in his name
We follow Jesus in being anointed from above by his Spirit.
Our old life is finished and we are given the opportunity to be sons of God if we follow the Spirit and seek the graces in Christ.

Hi KW,
Joshua in his filthy clothes is redressed in robes of righteousness in Zechariah.
God saves.

Hi KW,
The Spirit saves.
Whosoever wishes to save his own life will lose it.

Hi KW,
Where is it written that God is a being or a person?
Or are these your derived theological ideas added to scripture?
NickHassan replied to the topic Was Jesus Christ born in Bethlehem or born at the Jordan? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 10 years, 4 months ago
Hi Ed,
Scripture teaches that Jesus of Nazareth was a normal man with a human spirit who received the Holy Spirit.
He died at calvary and his own spirit left him.
But you teach that he was not a normal man but one born without a human spirit and born with the Holy Spirit.
Should we prefer your ideas to what is written?

Hi KW,
Your obsession with sin is disturbing.
God is the only Judge
Sin is in the eye of the Beholder.
God chooses to overlook sin at times.
As John 16 teaches the real sin is unbelief.
He expects His children to learn by their mistakes.
And judgement is according to how we judge others.
Forgiveness is available to all who err as 1john…[Read more]

Hi GB,
So you offer us a scripture that you think says what you want it to say.
When shown it does not you hope to find it in the Greek.
How far will you go in defence of your own ideas?

Hi Ed,
You may do as you wish but my hope is to follow the Master into victory over death by the indwelling Spirit.
Like Paul I say who will free me from the body of this death.

Hi DD,
Is the verse in 1Cor 8 not true then?

Hi GB,
“Messenger, AND the slave of him John.”
It seems plain two are spoken of

Hi DD,
Is such a verse sufficient for you to build a doctrine of polytheism?
NickHassan replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years, 4 months ago
Hi DD,
So where does scripture teach about many gods?
For us there is one God , the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you not one of US?

Hi KW,
“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:
the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” (John 12:48)The Words of the master are spirit and truth.
No use accepting the master but rejecting that his words are of the Spirit.

Then what do you mean?

Hi Ed,
Dd Abraham, Isaac and Jacob die?
Their deaths are recorded but they are yet alive to God.
Nathan died and was just asleep to be awakened by the witch of Endor.
Do you not believe Jesus died as is recorded many times in scripture?
if so then you cannot believe in the resurrection and your faith is in vain.
There are some standing…[Read more]

Hi GB,
So John is his slave, not his messenger.
