Hi Gene,
Your claim that Satan is just a metaphor for evil opposes the words of Jesus Christ.
It also opposes the words of the Spirit through the prophets and apostles.
Does anything else matter more to the servants of God than faithfulness to the word?
NickHassan replied to the topic Dry Bones Shall Live in the forum Truth or Tradition 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi Gene,
Your philosophical words are not found in scripture.
If you deny they are from philosophy then they must be your own ideas.
Why would the servants of the Lord be interested in following your own worldly ideas ?

Hi LU,
I am a useless servant only doing what I am told.
ps 123
Behold as the eyes of servants look to the sound of their master,
as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress
so our eyes look to the Lord, our God,
until He is gracious to us

Hi Gene,
What has the bottomless pit to do with your addition of philosophy to the Word of God?

Hi LU,
The previous quote you gave about family (matt 10.37) clarified this verse.
You see how much he demands of our commitment?
Can you judge the walk of others?

Hi LU,
Is it OK to rely on our own deductions from what is written?
Are they just as good as what is written?
NickHassan replied to the topic 2 Commandments, in Which Way do YOU Love Jesus in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi LU,
You offer us OT commandments though they were given to the Jews and are not directly applicable to us gentiles as Romans 3.19 shows.
Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law…
They certainly still exist for those who choose to submit themselves to the Law but it demands perfection, and we have a…[Read more]

Hi LU,
So where does it say that Jesus desires our love?
NickHassan replied to the topic 2 Commandments, in Which Way do YOU Love Jesus in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi LU,
So those in his body show their love for him by obedience.
Their devotion to him is shown by putting his commands before even our own family.
But you think proclamations of love are useful?
NickHassan replied to the topic Before Abraham I AM in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi TC,
We can share in the Spirit of Christ, in fact we must do so to be of him. Rom 8
We are his body on earth and we commemorate this in the breaking of the bread.
We are not him and do not share his soul just as he does not share his Father’s soul.
Ps 11

Hi Gene,
You say
‘ Just as there is no end to goodness there is no end to evil, they just go in opposite directions’
What sort of philosophy is this?
Are we free to add our own philosophical ideas to truth?
NickHassan replied to the topic 2 Commandments, in Which Way do YOU Love Jesus in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi LU,
You said he DESIRES our love.
Is this written or just your own idea?
NickHassan replied to the topic Before Abraham I AM in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi TC,
We will never become Jesus just as he will never become his Father
but we can have the same unity he has with his Father.
Jn 17.22f

Hi Gene,
‘ If Satan is divided against HIMSELF how will HIS KINGDOM stand?’
So you tell us that this means A METAPHOR has A KINGDOM?
And this METAPHOR was thrown into prison for 1000 yrs?
You do really believe you are greater than the teacher?
NickHassan replied to the topic Dry Bones Shall Live in the forum Truth or Tradition 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi Gene,
“Satan is just a metaphor for evil”
Did Jesus say this or is this just your idea?
Are your ideas equal to the teachings of the anointed one?
NickHassan replied to the topic Before Abraham I AM in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi TC,
Do you hear the voice of the Spirit in the words of Jesus, the anointed one?
“..In these last days God has spoken to us through His Son.”
“Before Abraham I AM”
NickHassan replied to the topic Dry Bones Shall Live in the forum Truth or Tradition 7 years, 8 months ago
Hi Gene,
All mankind is like grass.
Weak and easily influenced by the god of this world.
But he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

Hi TC,
Jn 1.12
But as many as received him, to them he gave THE RIGHT TO BECOME children of God.
To receive of the Spirit is the beginning of a long journey that requires asking, knocking, seeking.
Being baptised in his name opens the door to an abundance of grace.
Put on the armour as the enemy will test your faith.
Walk in the Spirit,…[Read more]

Hi Gene,
Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a house divided against itself falls.
If Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand?
For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub. And if I, by Beelzebub, cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out?
But you say Satan and his kingdom, and Beelzebub,…[Read more]
