Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 10 2008,04:50)Hi Martian, You said”Now to Phil 4. Notice the context is set from the very beginning. It is not about proof of divinity for Jesus but rather about the attitude Christ had. Here the context is set of comparing the first and second Adam. I am deleting the verse separations since they were not in the…[Read more]

Several times Phil 2 has been mentioned and then built upon to prove that Christ lowered himself from deity to become a man. This does not hold up in the context of scripture. It is often used to prove that Jesus is God. They read the scripture with a preconceived idea that Christ is God and read it into the scripture. This portion of scripture is…[Read more]

clarity,Perhaps I can hep you with this —Yeshua fills all things. Eph 1:23, 4:10I’m not sure what’s meant with this, but I will look in to this when I’ve more time, because i'm running out of time atm. ;)It is actually very simple. If one looks at the context of both of thee passages, it is about Christ's headship over the church and the givin…[Read more]

I doubt you will accept my answers to your questions. I have come to accept that you are beyond reasoning outside of the box of dogma that you live in. However I will answer some of those that I think might be of interest to others on here. I might even do it without calling you a follower of the sun worshiper Contantine.WjVery Good. However, I…[Read more]

Wj, A few more points to consider. You spoke of EnochHeb 11:5Because of FAITH Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God.Faith. The…[Read more]

Quote (WorshippingJesus @ Feb. 07 2008,12:19)Hi All!Can anyone follow a man that they cannot see?I thought we are to follow God?To follow God is to be led by the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, is it not?If we say we cannot follow God unless we follow a mere man, would be to say that the Hebrews could not follow God untill Yeshua came in the…[Read more]

The Hebrew root aman (faith) means firm, something that is supported or secure. This word is used in Isaiah 22:23 for a nail that is fastened to a “secure” place. Derived from this root is the word emun meaning a craftsman. A craftsman is one who is firm and secure in his talent. Also derived from aman is the word emunah meaning firmness,…[Read more]

WJ,I have a couple of questions for you.How do you define “faith”?What fruit does the doctrine of the Trinity produce and how is that fruit produced?

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 02 2008,12:22)Hi WJ, You say”The Trinitarian view is here to stay for you cannot destroy the truth.” So where is this truth written in scripture? Or are you an oracle?Nick, It does not matter how much proof you place before WJ. If he decides the world is flat that is all there is to it. No changing his mind.

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 02 2008,04:41)Hi Martian, A good presentation. However again you seem to downplay the result of the anointing of Jesus. You make it sound as though it was by his own efforts aided by God he became like to God.Certainly his Father was ever with him and teaching and disciplining him and keeping him free of sin.I agree with…[Read more]

One of the guiding principles of Bible interpretation is usually ignored because it often brings additional controversy. This principle is the purpose of God. God is not in the practice of giving information for the purpose of intellectual debate. Everything that God says and does furthers His plan for His creation. The controversy comes from the…[Read more]
