Is it the right way, I cannot be 100% sure. The fact that the 10 toes represents something and that there are 10 kings could just be a coincidence.
I do not remember it being in Daniel’s interpretation and I am not about to support an interpretation that claims to have more insight into Nebuchadnezzar dream than Daniel. It seem overly bold to do so.
I can see the correlation but then I can see a correlation to the ten virgins as well.

If the image is about the kingdoms, until the stone is cut out of a mountain in heaven without hands.
And that stone is going to destroy that whole image;meaning
all the kingdoms. Then must the ten toes not be the last kingdom of men?
If Christ’s coming is to destroy the last kingdom,which is Babylon the great; for Babylon will be no more.
It is impossible to picture that the last kingdom is not the ten toes. For is no other coming,but the kingdom of God on earth.
The ten toes represents the ten kings,not just one.
And they are plotting now to build a one world government.
They are the the ten elites who are behind the screen plotting.
They will chose one to rule;and he will be the son of perdition.
But he will be given power for just 3/half years.(rev.13).

The Medes and Persians was taken by the greeks.
The greeks evolved into the Roman empire.
The Roman empire evolved into the British empire,
Which are the feet mixed with clay.
This would be the 7th empire.
The last empire would come out of the feet.
Which would be the toes;(8th empire).there is no more,
to come,but the kingdom of God.
