ashermoshehthreepointonefour,The Rabbis consider the Oral Torah as an interpretive tradition. The Karaite tradition disregards it completely. It seems you disagree with both so what tradition are you from?

Chosenone,The first and last and alpha and omega are terms used to mean the only one. If only one exists then it is both the first and the last as well as the beginning and end.Isaiah 41:4 makes that case as God is pointing out he is the only God.Jesus is the only one God has appointed as King over everything in heaven and on earth. This does…[Read more]

Quote (Gene @ Jan. 14 2010,22:30)Kerwin….. My point was that the word used in the text does not mean a virigin, it means a young women or maiden, (NOT A VIRGIN) given that in most cases in Israel a maiden or young women was a virgin, but that did not give the translators the right to change the text, that is the point here. And Adam is right as…[Read more]

Gene and Terraricca,When you read Matthew 5:6 have you considered that the people Jesus is appealing to in all his teachings are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness because they are the only ones who truly want to do all God commands. Their hunger and thirst for righteousness will draw them to Jesus’ teachings as drink and food dr…[Read more]

To all others as well as Gene,God led me to read John 6 which is an example of a spiritual teaching where the people were listening with the ears of this world. Jesus told them they should work for food that endures to eternal life instead of food that spoils and they failed to understand. He also told them to eat his flesh and drink his blood a…[Read more]

Gene, It is not only the parables that are written to be heard with spiritual ears. Jesus often spoke in code that can only be truly understood by those listening with spiritual ears.

Quote (Gene @ Jan. 12 2010,21:11)Kerwin…..Exactly Right…….that is why you do (NOT) see the term (FREE WILL) in scripture, because there is no such thing as (FREE WILLS), there is only (INFLUENCED) WILLS, and these are what (CAUSES) our Choices, rather it be GOD or MAN. GRACE (Gods influencing on the heart) Works to produce (CAUSE) Which…[Read more]

To all including George and Peace2All,It is through the New Covenant that God creates everything through and for Jesus. George,I am not a Greek scholar but I do use their findings to better understand scripture when a disagreement about the meaning of words comes up. Some times that clarify an issue and sometimes they just serve to show the issue is debatable. In the case of “man” the Greek clearly is translated human. With conception it is either “gr…[Read more]
