Philo is more of what we today would call a theologian than a philosopher because that difference did not exist at that time.

Much of what he states about is true. There is some that I cannot test as I can neither prove it true or false. It deals with interpretation of symbols but I do not see it is relevant to the gospel.

Philo is not speculating about the logos. Rather he is being poetic in describing it. I have not yet found a claim that Scripture as far as the Logos is concerned. His poetic style of conversation is similar to John’s.

The answer is no though I have looked at the Watchtower a time or to. I did sit with some Mormon missionaries and others but my teaching and there are at odds. The JW’ are as much in error since they take what is meant as symbolism literally. If I looked deeper I am sure some of what they say is true. What I know about is a spin on the truth.
