Gene,I am calling the spirit old in relation to new and rather than stating it is ancient.I am still going to say that “intellect” is equivalent to intelligence and God does not show favoritism based on it. In is rather the knowledge of righteousness that leads to deeds he shows favoritism for.Nick did introduce an interesting scripture in Roma…[Read more]

Quote (Nick Hassan @ April 02 2010,12:09)Hi KW, Why did you have to add your theology above at the end?The spirit of every man is neither old nor replaced except at death. The Spirit of righteousness is within, with our own spirit, if you are in Christ. Rom 8.16So are you claiming there is no need for a new spirit? If you old spirit is not corrupt…[Read more]

Jodi Lee,I believe some are referring to 2 Corinthians 3:17 which is actually referring to God and not Jesus. Still they are taking it at a slant to the way it is intended by Paul is as the Spirit to God as our spirit is to us. It would also be to Jesus in a like manner as his Spirit is God's spirit. In fact when we are born again in spirit th…[Read more]

Gene,Some of these individuals seem to advocate not teaching anything that is not in scripture but when you point out Scripture does not speak of a preexistence spiritual being they ignore that and do what they say not to do. I believe that is a hypocrite.

Jodi Lee,I have pointed out this fact and yet many prefer to hold on to what they learned in other ways. They attempt to seperate the body of Jesus from his essence. They thus can claim the body decended from Abraham and David while the essence of Jesus did not.
