Gollamundi,Actually there is support though Jesus' name is not mentioned explicitly. Take Deuteronomy 18:14-22. Jesus was such a prophet as he promised those that hunger and thirst for righteousness would be filled and those that were in servitude to sin that they would be freed. The fullfillment of his promise also refers the prophecy of I…[Read more]

Gollamundi,I know the source is a Jewish source since I was using it to prove what some Jewish believe about the Messianic age. As I pointed out people will not sin so will not require sacrifices for their sins whether intentional or non-intentional.That is also why I have great doubts that Ezekiel is speaking of a third temple instead of the…[Read more]

Gollamundi,Different sects of so called Jews have different beliefs and I cannot speak for them all but there is definately those who believe that the Messianic Age is a time when only the righteous will roam the earth and there will be no sin. They use Zephaniah 3:13 to support that tenet. It explicly states that the remnant of Isreal will do…[Read more]

Gollamundi's source reads:Quote The notion that we are born condemned, and that without the practice of animal sacrifices Jews cannot atone for their sins, represents a blatant misinterpretation of the Jewish Bible.I don’t have a clue what your source is speaking of. It is not my belief. I believe one is condemned for sinning. I also beli…[Read more]

Quote (gollamudi @ May 19 2010,13:08)This is too much to claim that Jesus was the only priest available at that time. That too Roman cross was not a place for any Temple sacrifice. It is purely the speculation on your part to say Jesus was the priest to sacrifice to self sacrifice himself for the remission of sins when God never demanded for any…[Read more]

Gollamundi,Jesus sacrifice did not stop the daily sacrifices but rather rendered sacrifices for sin unnecessary for those who believe. To teach that his sacrifice stopped the daily sacrifices which actually continued until the temple fell some years later is to teach a lie. I do not teach that nor do I believe it. Neither do the writers of the n…[Read more]

Nick,I believe the spirit and soul are seperate elements of an individual. I also believe but am not certain that it is the spirit that gives life to a person. It is possible, though I have my doubts, that the breath of life and the spirit are not the same element of a human being.

gollamudi,Did you miss the contradiction is what you state Jewish thought is?According to Jewish theology the Anointed One will issue in the age of righteousness in which no one sins.If no one sins then there is no need for sacrifices to atone for ones sins. Can you resolve this contradiction?

SimplyForgiven,I find that your questions involving verse 7 of Phillipians 2 will take some tiime to study and consider. Thank you for bringing them up.
kerwin replied to the topic Christadelpians in the forum Truth or Tradition 16 years, 5 months ago
Gene,Scripture tells us Satan exists. Therefor I believe what God states and not what you or the Christodelphians state. You may choose to believe what you may but God will hold you accountable for your choices both evil and good.

Phillipians 2:5-7 is teaching us to have the same righteous attitude of humility as Jesus and not teaching us about whether or not he is a deity. It even explicitly states that in verse 5. I cannot see how it can be any clearer. note: The reference to humility comes from verse 3.
kerwin replied to the topic Logic in the forum Truth or Tradition 16 years, 5 months ago
Terrarica,I do not believe you know what logic is. All logic is, is a form of reasoning and God designed mankind to reason. You are using reason in you argument. The question then becomes is the form of your reason good or bad. If it is good then it is by definition logical. Thus the wisom of God is by definition logical while the wisdom of…[Read more]
