SimplyForgiven,I agree that the thousand years are part of the End Times prophecies and about those I am sure of very little. I do know though that the throne of David was based in Jerusalem and that the one who rules from Jerusalem is the one that is said to sit on the throne of David. It is my understanding from reading prophecy from the Old T…[Read more]

I get to curious and i start reading the whole night and praying and answering comments. Georg,I agree that God breathed life into Adam and not Adam’s soul. It is only after Adam was alive that he was called a living soul and scripture elsewhere speaks of a soul dying, Psalms 56:13 and Revelations 16:3. I also agree that soul is used to mean spirit on occasion.I do not know that spirit means mind in some cases though you may be c…[Read more]

SimplyForgiven,As I stated I do not believe there is must difference between what we have concluded from studying scripture. I see that Terraricca covered some of the issues you brought up and so I am going to concentrate on the scriptures that speak of Pharaoh’s heart being hardened. In Exodus 4:21 God tells Mosses that he will harden P…[Read more]

Simply Forgiven,I am trying to state that though God is King being a king does not make you God.Scripture clearly states that the Father is superior to Jesus and at no time does it state anything else. When Jesus sits on the throne of David he will be a King of the state of Judah-Isreal, i.e. the thousand years. Even now he is a Hebrew King.

Simply Forgiven,My question is pretty much based on the idea that God does not pray to anyone and has no need to do so. What is the purpose of prayer?

Adam,I am not going to debate with you whether the second letter of Peter is a forgery or not because it is irrelevant to the issue we are discussing. I will point out that what I quoted from it is true and that is some scripture is hard to understand and ignorant and corrupt people misinterpret it to their own ill fortune.I have heard the…[Read more]

Adam,You are correct that the letters and in fact the whole New Testament was written to those who not only believed that Jesus is the Anointed One of God but who also knew the background teachings that are not included in those writings. We on the other hand are unfortunate in that we often have to scrounge in order to even find rumors of…[Read more]

SimplyForgiven,I am not stating that God gives us permission to sin but rather that he allows us to choose to sin. God does not want us to sin and I believe the word “permission” gives the idea that he does. God allows us to choose between doing what is right or sinning because allow us that privilege is the good thing to do. If you rememb…[Read more]

Jerry,The word free will is found in scripture as in “free will offering”.There are at least three Hebrew words that can be translated freewill or voluntary. They are nadab, n@dab (Aramaic), and [email protected] our free will thwart God’s will? Hardly!God has a plan and that plan takes in account our free will. Adam,Many people seem to believe that Peter’s warning to Christians about how hard to understand Paul’s writing are does not apply to them. Peter clearly stated that ignorance as well as corruption can get in the way of truly understanding them. You have plenty of proof this is so in the many heresies that have sprung up. Do not believe for a…[Read more]

Simply Forgiven,You are hitting a number of areas where my ignorance is rather great. I have my doubts that your soul, spirit, and flesh are all Dennison. The reason for me to doubt that is because even if you lost part of your flesh such as both legs you would be no less who you are. I see your flesh as the possession of Dennison. I see you…[Read more]

Adam,I do not know what version of scripture you are using but according to both the King James version and the New International version the correct translation of “Hamartano” in the context of 1 John 1:10 is sinned indicating past sins and not present ones. Adam,You get too tied up in debates over words when the ideas those words express are more important. I freely admit that both translators and scribes whom are not moved by the Spirit of God can and do make errors. In the case of Psalms 40:6 there are discrepancies over the exact words used even in the earliest manuscripts we have. I do not c…[Read more]

Adam,I do disagree with what is referred to as mainline Christianity on the issues of sin and forgiveness. I go by what God told Ezekiel on the issue and not by what mankind tells me. In Ezekiel 33:14-16 we are instructed by God that it is only after a wicked man changes his ways and does what is right that he will be forgiven by God. A man wh…[Read more]

Gollamundi,John 1:9 is a poor translation of the common Greek language as the word translated sin in it is not the same word translated sin in 1 John 2:1 when John is definitely speaking about the sin act and using the word if indicating some do and some do not sin. gollamudi,I am not sure that Paul was speaking of Jesus' sacrifice when he quoted Psalms 40:6 as he stated “when Jesus came into the world” or in other words when he was born or possibly conceived. It is only after he quotes “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them” that he…[Read more]
