Adam,Why waste my time on hearsay as I very much doubt your source has a way to test whether Mary was a virgin 2000 or so years ago.The question is do you believe what the eyewitness of the period report or not? In addition do you believe God can cause a child to be conceived in the womb of a version?

Dennison,I origionally advanced that as a possibility but you came in later while I was just discussing the possibility. I am personally not sure at this point and I see no reason why it is an issue that one must be sure of or that different students of Jesus cannot legitimately hold different views of and still be in tune on the good new of the…[Read more]

Dennison,I actually have not claimed that the particular Jewish tenet that the seven eyes of God are angels is true since I tend to believe the Jews have a variety of interpretations on the subject just like their decendants who call themselfs Christian and I am not sure which is true. On the other hand some current ideas about the seven spirits…[Read more]

Quote (gollamudi @ June 18 2010,16:14)Thanks for your explanation brother Kerwin, but I can't agree with you or the writer of Hebrews an unnamed writer on those arguments on sealing the New covenant. Infact the whole logic of Christian New covenant is entirely different from yours also from what the Hebrew scriptures quote. They never intended any…[Read more]

Adam,You have failed to give any evidence to support your claim that King Solomon must be in the line of the Anointed One. Withhout evidence you have nothing but wild speculation. The promise is clearly for David and Solomon is a maybe at best.God is the one who decides which of King David's decendants is the Anointed One and not you so will…[Read more]

Adam,The writer of Hebrews agrees with my strange logic as that is the logic that writer uses. I chose to rephrase what that New Testiment writer wrote in hoping to illuminate you about the good news of the Kingdom of God. If you direct your attention to where I wrote that Jesus' death sealed the New Covenant then you will find basically the s…[Read more]

Dennison,We actually do know that in general that the teachings of Scripture are taught on a background of the Jewish culture because that culture is based on scripture. According to the Jews you cannot have one without the other as their culture is about belief in God. There were a variety of different Jewish beliefs and we do not know which…[Read more]

Adam,Do you understand the Jewish concept of self-sacrifice.Here is a profile of one Jew who risked his very life to do what he believed was right. I consider him a heretic but I do not question his zeal and perhaps that zeal did come from a heart that hungered and thirted for righteousness though he traveled in the darkness of ignorance. If…[Read more]

Here are a couple of other scriptures that deal with the Passover and may have a bearing on properly interpreting the sciptures in the New Testiment we are addressing.2 Chronicles 30:22 and Ezekiel 45:21.I obtained these from another individual who found them on a site that pointed out that the whole period of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is…[Read more]

Adam,It yields no fruit because you are not reading my sources or if you read them you chose not to believe them. If the Saducees and Pharisees went by different callenders as my last source states then it holds that even in Jerusalem itself there was a difference of opinion on the issue as both those groups are known to have been present there.…[Read more]

Adam,I have addressed them by advancing the hypothesis that those of the Messianic movement of Jesus held to an older version of the Hebrew Calender also followed by the Samaritans. That Calendar is often out of sync with the modern Jewish Calender. One error with my hypothesis which is not critical is that the modern Jewish Calender was…[Read more]

Adam,Bart D. Ehrman considers himself an agnostic which means he is obviously not guided by the Spirit of God and so is not qualified to interpret scripture correctly. He is also biased, being a disciple of Walter Bauer, thoughhe may even corrupt Baurer's view as Baurer may have had at least a smidgeon of truth in his conjectures.Ehrman makes the…[Read more]

Adam,Who are these anomynous New Testiment Schoolars you speak of and what authority do they have to correctly interpret scripture. I do not acknowledge that authority because it did not come from God. In other words what you are doing is making a call to authority fallacy.Mark 15:42 also refers to it as Preparation Day. So does Matthew 27…[Read more]

Adam. You have no evidence to back up the hypothosis that John was attempting to show Jesus' death was the Passover. I believe John like the rest of the gospel agree that the leaders of the Jerusalem wanted Jesus dead before sunset because that was the first day of their Feast of Unleavened Bread, a traditional High Holy Day.Paul might of made the…[Read more]

Adam,Lets look at the facts. The fact is that according to the Accounts there appears to be two Passovers. Then the question becomes how is that possible.
