    t8,

He existed in the form of God, emptied himself and came in the flesh and is now in the glory that he had with the Father before the cosmos..

You are mixing the ideas from a few passages.

Philippians 2:5-7 or 8 is speaking the mind that is in Jesus Christ.

Adam and Eve were created with same mind, which was in the form God. As a result…[Read more]

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Jesus was the big bang. Everything was created through him. He was with God in the beginning. That’s about as preexistant as it gets imho. P…

    Terrarica,

Jn 1:30 This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’

I assure you that Jesus surpassed John the Baptist because he was more important than him, ie before.

    Terrarica,

Jn 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I have already discussed this with you so I do not see any reason to go over it again. Once more you are seeing the physpical when the context is Spiritual.

    Terrarica,

Here is one aspect of the Spirit he received.

Galatians 5:22-24Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and l…

Here is a question for any that believe in Preexistence,

According to Scripture God gave Jesus God’s Spirit. So how was Jesus part of the unity of Spirit before he received that Spirit?

    @t8,

I do not know much about Islam, nor what they believe about Jesus. I know both they and Hinduism believe in them. Like the Trinitarians their Jesus is not the one testified in Scripture.

I do not think confessing Jesus the Christ with is significant when your heart is far from him.

    Nick,

I provided an example of one use of god in the English language.

Yes, the word is a god because it is of the one true God.

My starting point was to point out that both human and objects for various reasons.

I am also pointing why the word that comes out of God’s mouth though not a being can be a god.

I do not necessary agree with Gene.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a New English Translation (NET Bible)

    Nick and Danny Dabbs,

Jimi Hendrix is a human being, though dead.
Jimi Hendrix is the god of guitars.

Americans believe both statements are true because Jimi Hendix excelled at playing the guitar.

The word that comes out of God mouth is a thing with superhuman attributes and power according to Scripture. In short it is a god.

    Danny Dabbs,

    Hi!

I believe Jesus was the word, a god. (John 1:1) God’s very first creation. (Revelation 3:14)
    His beloved Son.

Koin Greek does not have an indefinite article so they would the idea of he is a human as he is human so the words of John 1:1 actually fit that interpretation if you Christ was the word before the word was made f…[Read more]

    Nick,

When we learn we make a choice, even when we are not aware of it. That choice can either be Spiritual or natural. In making that choice we reap what we sow.

Yes, Romans 3 is hard to understand.

    Terrarica,

I have heard that and it may be true but it is self evidence when you are discussing godly love. That would be a-gap-ee love spelled agape. Jesus may also have meant love between siblings and companions which is philia but I doubt that. In Matthew 22:29 it is agape.

    Terrarica,

An understanding is not true if it breaks a correctly interpreted Scripture but I do not think my interpretation of John 1 breaks even your understanding of Scripture though it disagrees with it.

Your understanding breaks the passage that states Jesus is descendant of David, as for his body, as well as other passages.
