    Ed,
I cannot see how this is not the description of blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 10:26-31Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which…

    Miia,

Hi Kerwin. I would think God’s presence and the Spirit are the same thing.

I cannot say for sure but it seems more likely they will not be if I look into the matter further. I know so little I cannot eliminate the possibility the Psalmist is using repetition as emphasis.

    Ed,

Is it acceptable for Christians to lie in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

The wicked will do as the wicked do. Be concerned for own actions!

    Miia,

The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in Psalm 139.7

I heard that different than what you say. I heard that wherever the Psalmist went that both God’s presence and Spirit were there. I believe that Psalms is used as evidence God is always present.

    Ed,

You are misunderstanding that passage as well as those that treat the blood of Jesus as an unworthy thing are those that blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

    Ed J,

The identity of the Holy Spirit is not the one true God.

The Holy Spirit is the spirit that a believe that a believe receives from God through faith that Jesus i the Christ when they obey Jesus’ teachings and which they walk according to by faith. It is spoken of in Galatians 5:22-23 and in other places.

I have not covered the condition because I am unsure what the difference between condition and qualities are. I think the statement God is everywhere is attributing the condition of being everywhere to God. There are sometimes the Spirit of God does not seem to be in places that God is physically present. Miia,

Nick is correct that the righteous dead going to heaven with God is a myth. The truth is the righteous dead go to rest with the souls of humanity in what is called the paradise of Sheol/Hades. In some ways the difference is not that great as God is there as well. The important point is the dead await resurrection and judgement.

    Ed,

    Kerwin,

The HolySpirit is God – “Yes”?

    Please answer

My point is that there is nowhere in the New Testament God is said to be a spirit being. It does speak of ghosts and calls them spirits though the KJV may translate both words to spirit. After all the church of England did not believe in ghosts at that time.

The answer to the quest…[Read more]

    Ed,

Those that receive the Holy Spirit are the children of God.

Jesus’ conception was miraculous as it occurred by the creative power of the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God did not have sex with Mary as she remained a virgin.

    Nick,

The Holy Spirit is not a human spirit. It is God’s Spirit. Human beings get to partake of it through faith in Jesus Christ.

Unlike humans, God does not have the option to walking according to the flesh.

Be Holy as I am Holy equals walk according to my Spirit as I walk according to my Spirit.

That is why believers are told to put…[Read more]

    Ed,

You are interpreting John 4:2 wrong.

God is the Spirit of Love and the time has come for his people to worship him in the same way.

John teaches us elsewhere that God is love. Love is a spirit. Those that walk according to the Holy Spirit bear the fruit of Love and truth and so worship God.

God is Holy because he walks according to the…[Read more]

    t8,

I do not agree with this view. Jesus wants to include us too, and your view seems obviously wrong when we are included. There is nothing in scripture that hints that we are the Holy Spirit and I feel that it is likely an insult to God to think this.

There is places where the Holy Spirit is also called a believer, or the group of…[Read more]

Shiite battle Sunni and Turk battle Arab. In the later case they can even be the same religion. The Kurd’s are Sunni and have no difficulty battling other non-Kurd Sunnis. They have even allied with individuals of other religions to do so.

I do not believe those that hunger and thirst for righteousness go to heaven after death. Instead they go to the paradise section of Sheol to await judgement day. Ed,

Forces would fit Hadrian better but the Hebrew does say “stronghold” though the KJV versions state “forces”. It could be a difference in manuscripts. It is probably because The Hebrew word is sometimes translated “strength” but that is “strength” as in defensive strength or defensive forces.
