Nick,
I am not sure what verse you speak of. I was addressing a thought that occurred over multiple verses. To be precise John 8:30-34 and sin is mentioned in verse 34 and it goes with the words of the angel as they are written in Matthew.

Nick,
Dictionaries are useful for understanding the English language.
The last I knew English, nor any other language, has a heart out of which worldly or godly things come so much like a plant in that it is neither worldly or godly though it can express either worldly or godly teachings.
If you understand what God says about himself then you…[Read more]

Nick,
I quoted Scripture where God calls the Hebrews his holy so I do not see where you are debating with him.
He called them holy because the word of God was given to them.
They are ones that are called the word’s very own.
Many, though born holy, defiled themselves.
My point is though God calls the Jews holy they are considered normal humans.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? 10 years ago
Nick,
I do not know what brought you to that conclusions but the last words I wrote are from 2 Corinthians 3:6.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
It is not about me but rather about the truth. Jesus told us as he spoke to a group of Jews that the Son sets a person truly free of slavery to sin. He does that by giving the Spirit and teaching them to always walk by it.

Nick,
I can but attempt to warn who choose to be blind.
The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. Learn to listen to the Spirit of the word and not get snared in the letter.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
Perhaps you should read Matthew 1:21.

t8,
None of disagrees that Jesus was born a normal man.
Any Jew is born holy. (Deuteronomy 7:6 and Exodus 22:31)
They are normal humans.

Nick,
Hi 94,
You say that because you speak from a fleshly perspective.
When we talk about God we should use the terms that He provides in scripture.
Person is not one of them.
Your words are those of a legalist. You are like unto those Mass must be in Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, or whatever language. There are no holy words though the…[Read more]

Nick,
Where the Spirit is there is freedom from sin and is for that purpose that Jesus came into the world. (Matthew 1:21)
my view is that the righteous live by faith.
Why do you they do?
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
Hi KW,
Was anyone else given such an advantage?
Do you think a fair God would ask us to follow someone with such a head start?
All God’s actions are the result his love for each of us and when he does something it is an act of love. It is more than fair; it is needful.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
What Scripture states is true and it declares the righteous live by faith.
Jesus has never sinned and therefore his righteousness has always been perfect, which also tells us his faith is also since the righteous live by faith.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
My faith has not yet been made perfect. Perhaps I am still of little faith.
Jesus was given faith in full measure as predestined by God.
Some are given a large measure than others but all have the potential to grow.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
I do not know what grace Peter was asking but I do know that faith comes from grace.
I also know that all a human being needs to do is obtain the Spirit and learn to walk according to it at all times and that is done by faith from first to last.
I also know that some a fully mature in Christ for Scripture speaks of such. Since that is…[Read more]

Nick,
I am convinced Jesus has always been a human being.
I am convinced he has continuously had perfect faith and that faith came by the grace of God.
That perfect faith is a goal to obtain by running the race.

Nick,
I have no disagreement with Gal 3.27, Rom 6.3, or Col 3.1 but I believe they were meant to be addressed to Gene and not me.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
how can he be clean that is born of a woman
The answer is to walk according to the ways of the Spirit and that can only be done through faith for it is written the righteous walk by faith. (Habakkuk 2:4)
I would not say it was a free pass since faith was needed but since faith comes by grace some would say it was. (Ephesians 2:8)
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
A quick response.
John the Baptist was the greatest born of a woman. Even the least in the kingdom is greater than he and God placed Jesus on the throne of the kingdom.
kerwin replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 10 years ago
Nick,
I would say the words “the son of man, which is a worm” are related to Jesus’ words in Mark 10:17-18.
The answer to the question in verse 4 is by faith. Jesus by his perfect faith in God and everyone else by their faith in Jesus Christ.
