Journey,Some of those gifts do not seem to show up and others seem to be common to man with certain individuals excelling in them. Sometimes they specialize within a gift. Each can misused like any tool but that is risky behavior as it might well be blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

Gene,Mike is both right and wrong. Faith itself is evidence. To Abraham God's word alone was enough evidence because he had faith in it. Even then I do not believed that God's word was true based on blind faith but he had evidence that it was true in other ways.

Nick,Even when Jesus was using reasoning to reveal spiritual things he knew that it would take the Spirit to see those things.  His logic is like a spiritual television but those who who do not see spiritual things cannot see the image on its screen.

Wakeup,I am a child, playing in mud puddles is enjoyable. Even as I play I learn adult things for the time I will grow up.

Nick,As far as I know no one says knowledge alone is enough. It is certainly not written in Scripture.
