Mike,It is the spiritual side of a man that gives life to the flesh. The Spirit of God is even more powerful. Jesus is speaking of the Spirit of God, the Spirit God gave to him, it descended and later ascended but his flesh counted for nothing.It is one of the times he chose to speak a little clearer to his audience.
