Hebrew calls God he because the nouns are male and not because God is. English has the pronouns based on the gender of the individual those pronouns are representing.  I assume you stick to the English language tradition.  Male is the English traditional default address even if the person’s gender is female, both, or unknown.

It appears to my eyes that he is no open to seeking God or his kingdom but perhaps my words will be used to bring him to that point at a later time.  In the meantime I can use the discussion to learn more of those things that are beneficial to my own search though that may not be his intent.
