Nick,
You fail to answer my question. What are you afraid of?
Do you believe the words “made under the Law” mean that sin had dominion over Jesus when he was formed in his mother’s womb?
kerwin replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 9 years ago
Nick,
Your response reveals you did not understand the words of Romans 6:14 nor by words based on it.
Paul declares sin has no dominion over those that under grace while it has dominion over those that are under the Law.
Do you believe the words “made under the Law” mean that sin had dominion over Jesus when he was formed in his mother’s womb?

@t8,
I agree that translators make errors in their translation due to their biases but we also have the depth of the flood and it was deep enough to cover certain mountains. Such a flood is greater than any indicated by the interpretation of what ever evidence of flood we have found. The depth given in Scripture would not cover the whole earth…[Read more]

@t8,
He existed in the form of God…
This clause is absurd as it disagrees with Genesis 1:1. God created the universe which contains the outward form so he does not have one.
In short Jesus never existed in the outward form of God because the claim he did breaks with scripture.

@t8,
But what is not ordinary about Jesus is his origin which is ancient.
Scripture teaches us that all believers that are proved true have ancient origins. After all God “saved and called with a holy calling … given to in Christ Jesus before the world began…” (1 Timothy 1:9)
In short they originated before the world began.

Nick,
As Ed pointed out you did not actually answer me as I did not say he was not born under the Law. Instead I stated he meant the righteousness of the Law by walking according to the Spirit.

Nick,
I don’t believe that they are speaking of the inward man of Jesus, Paul, or those Paul was speaking to.
Instead they illustrate that God had each and everyone of their lives planned out for them before the world began.
Those that believe in random, i.e. unpredictable, free will have trouble with that idea.
kerwin replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 9 years ago
Nick,
Those words are a non answer since all things come by the grace of God.
Those that walk according to the Spirit fulfill the righteous requirements of the Law. Never they do it by grace or it would not occur.
Your theology is that he did it without the Spirit of God before he was immersed in the Jordan.

Nick,
It is always Jesus speaking as he is carried along by the Spirit.
My point is that some insist Jesus had to exist before the world began to have glory but deny that believers had to be there to receive their gifts before the world began. There arguing of neither of those passages supports the conclusions they draw from it.

Some believe the absurd teaching that Jesus did not a carnal nature, aka. flesh and sin in him. They even quote where it states “no sin was found” even though it is a misuse of those words. I know of no where it is literally written Jesus had a carnal nature but the fact he was tempted even as we are reveals that he did. In other words…[Read more]

Nick,
The law is sufficient to become clean as proven by Jesus of Nazareth
Paul teaches otherwise because he teaches thee carnal nature of man, i.e. sin in man, prevents the Law from anyone clean. Instead it is God’s grace the works through their faith in the message that makes allows them to receive the Spirit. (Galatians 3:2,5)
kerwin replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 9 years ago

So Paul is incorrect and their is a third way is grace because you declare it so?
The grace you teach is clearly not that Paul teaches or you world know that it is by the grace of God each human being is created either a noble vessel or a common one. You would know that it is by the grace of God that each person has a change to reach out…[Read more]

Nick,
Yes, only through faith can a man be made clean.
That is also how a man receives and walks by the Spirit.
A human without the Spirit a man may be credited with it.
Abraham was so credited.
Jesus did not need to be credited with having it but rather revealed he had had it by being without sin.
