John is more explicit that the generic words you are using. When a creation is living by the Spirit they sin not and so are in Christ but when they live by the flesh they sin and so are not in Christ and therefore go and sin no more, even as Jesus told the adulterous woman.

Stop trying to redefine words to excuse your sins. There is no excuse for them.

Do not be deceived he that does right is righteous and he that sins does not do right. (1 John 3:7)

Do you not believe that Jesus told the truth when he proclaimed anyone who sins is a servant of sin and that the Son sets those that believe truly free.(John 8:31-36)

Consider that Jesus petitioned God that those believe in him would be in both God and Jesus. Those that live by the Spirit are not physically located with either as they sit on their thrones but rather they are Spiritually united with God and Jesus by the Spirit they walk by.
