hoghead,
Perhaps it would be useful but it also requires time and a stronger ability to suppress my natural inclinations. I have more belief in the former than the later and it most likely due to learned helplessness.

He most likely thinks he has something up his sleeve; possibly because he believes his own accusations of the siblings.

Hoghead,
You are most immediately going on your understanding of Scripture, your interpretation.
Bias effects “your understanding”/”your interpretation as dies the amount of knowledge also plays a part.
Denying the evidence because it leads to a psychological unpleasant answer is not an honest way to interpret anything. It is a tough…[Read more]

I have an associates, the credit hours for a second one and am currently working toward a Bachelors. I plan on finishing this fall. The discipline is Computer Science. I tend to think all human being are biased to one degree or another. Even Jesus was biased; though to godliness.
I have either been lucky in instructors or most…[Read more]

David,
I am not sure there is a decline in violence so much as a decline in adverse effects.
There is certainly a decline in dueling due to changes in the law. People do not carry weapons such as knifes and guns around as a regular activity and so some of the effects of anger mismanagement are also missing. Increased medical science and…[Read more]

Reason’s the culture thinks are good are not always good or healthy. In all culture works for peace which includes the tolerance of evil. There is a reason Jesus claimed he brought the sword and not peace.

I have to disagree with you on that one because not all people think a like or have the same point of view. I know you were taught that because that teaching is present in the field of psychology.
Instead your view come more from the atmosphere that seems to be prevalent in certain places such as university campuses. There has been…[Read more]

I am afraid I have difficulties with them as well but my nature tends to rebel against norms. I am also at the same time I am some what subject to peer pressure. The third element is what Scripture teaches me by the Spirit or the flesh. All together it resembles walking through a spiritual midfield. Some would call it…[Read more]

I do not know how you would respond to a shock and awe post but I do know colleges do teach political correctness due to the high content of high income progressives within the education filed. I also know it comes in courses that are more open to subjective opinions than the more technical courses that have been my fare. Some…[Read more]

Perhaps Satan does but if so it seems a poor strategic move as the nations will the gather around and besiege Israel and that has been foretold. Scripture states he will do it.

Actually there is some that state Pearl harbor was planned as there was intelligence that it was planned but the evidence could be explained away by claiming that rank “stupidity” within the government and not deviousness. There is tricky aspects to linguistics but it is not rocket science. People learn foreign languages on a regular basis even difficult ones like English. Trial and error teaches a lot of things. If you are not really familiar with biblical languages, then I suggest you don’t try and get into setting up some kind of argument based on the Greek text. Going online and grabbing up something quick from some online site is no way near adequate. The minute I see something like that, I know some amateur has jumped in way over his o…

I was not speaking of what the Jews believe but one possibility of God does. I do not know what he believes but I can see he sees the present state as one that will wither away. @t8,
Persecution may be arising just to drive the Jews back to Israel and their roots. They may decry it but they have a tradition of only going to God when times are rough. If they were wiser they would learn to go to him when times were easy and perhaps avoid or modify the rougher times. Never the less I stand against those that persecute them.
