Andrew,
Scripture tells us to judge less we be judged.
You can either interpret the statement above to be false or true depending on a number of factors including literal mindedness or a hostile spirit.

t8,
1540BC is too recent of a Date for the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
When did the 70 year gap occur and was there evidence of fire and brimstone, which sounds like a volcano.

Ed,
What context are you using to reach that conclusion since you are stating a definite on what Paul meant by his words and not just stating that the meaning you derive from the passage is true.
kerwin replied to the topic The Comfort Zone in the forum Visions & Testimonies 10 years, 5 months ago
T8,
Teachers of Law can manipulate the words so the words sound true but the meaning they impart to those words are false.
One word that is often manipulated for ill is “repent”. It is manipulated so those whose itching ears want to hear how they do not want to come out of the darkness hear that if they continue to love evil they will not perish.

Miia.
It is possible to get to that level so some have done so but that is not so much an issue than for each of us to seek the truth through faith that Jesus is promised one of God.
Jesus told us “ask, seek, and knock” so it is up to us to do he instructs us.

David,
I do not believe the same thing happened in Western European country but I have never heard a reason for it except for the availability of guns, which were also readily available before.

David,
I have heard of researchers using court records to determine the murder rate in England and a few other countries from hundreds of years ago and from what I have heard even if the findings are correct and can be applied to all developed countries they do not necessary cover the undeveloped ones.
If you look up the United States the…[Read more]

David,
There are more people so even if the rate is decreasing, which is controversial, the occurrences may be increasing.

Miia,
Kerwin, but who would not like Jesus if they know him? The Jesus revealed in the Gospels is Jesus.
1) Those who do not love the light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19)
2) Most people for few will find the narrow gate. (Matthew 7:14)
That is why their is a multitude of false teachings telling people what their itching ears want to hear.

Miia,
As I told Andrew there are those that do not like the Jesus that is testified in Scripture and so they create their own. Each of us is to beware less we do the same. “Seek first God’s righteousness and kingdom…”

EdJ and David,
Those of the Near East, which call the Middle East, do indeed act like a people of iron mixed with clay but violence is also existent in other nations such as the U.S.A.They claim murders have decreased over time but that does not mean violence has only that the result is not a lethal as it used to be.

Nick,
Your words imply that you fail to understand the words “The letter kills but the Spirit give life”.
kerwin replied to the topic The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life in the forum Truth or Tradition 10 years, 5 months ago
Miia,
When you quote the works of others be careful to credit those works to who they belong to unless you deceive your hearers on who they belong to.
kerwin replied to the topic The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life in the forum Truth or Tradition 10 years, 5 months ago
Miia,
I do not know what Paul meant but those words can be used for different reason.
The letter of the Scripture kills but living according to the Spirit gives life is a true statement. If you strive to do all that is written in Scripture and yet walk according to the Flesh and not the Spirit then you will not inherit the kingdom of God.

AndrewAD,
I tested Scripture and found the message in harmony. I have tested other books and there message is in disagreement. Many of the one not approved that we still have aces to are Gnostic or heavily influenced thereof. In other words those Scrolls that did not make it in were poor competition for those that did.

Are you claiming that human beings can still do all that is right without living by the Spirit of God?

Scripture does not say there was no revealing of heavenly power before then. That is your conclusion. What evidence supports your case?

That Spirit first untied Jesus with God and God with Jesus which is why Jesus claimed that the Father was/is in him and that he was/is in the Father.

And every one of those interpretations came by way of the Trinitarians who preach that Jesus is the preexistent God. Without preexistence their claim that Jesus is God looses much of its power.

There are many that teach a false Christ, just as foretold. The nature of the beast is if you do not like the true Christ you will create your own. 40,000 different sects means there are 40,000 individuals who did not like the true Christ.
