t8,
“Before Abraham I am”.
It bad English Grammar.
John 8:58 is a vague passage that is sometimes translated in the context of the words of the unbelievers in the previous verses.
Here is one versions take on the words of the verse.
John 8:58Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

t8,
Now read the verse again. Jesus said: ” I had with you before the world began”
I understand you believe those word implies he was present but that is not correct.
All it really states is that the glory is Jesus’ but that God has it in his possession.
I am assuming the glory he speaks of is being made emperor of all things in heaven and…[Read more]

t8,
It actually doesn’t say that. it doesn’t say, “came to be”. You got that from your own understanding.
That is essentially what the word conceive means. I find it hard to believe you are not aware of that. It even tells us he was conceived in Mary as opposed to Louis Brown whom was conceived in a petre dish then implanted in her mother.…[Read more]

AndrewAD,
Are you claiming you will believe what you want to despite all evidence to the contrary?
I see no need to repeat what I said before.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1Ti 2:6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time.what Paul says is true but it is not related to what Christ became after his death ,for what Paul says is related to what Christ did while on earth and as s…

AndrewAD,
What I am saying is the author of Hebrews clearly implies the pre-existence of Christ by saying he hasn’t suffered from the foundation of the world. If he didn’t exist he wouldn’t even mention pre-existence at all.
I would not have gotten that since your conclusion does not follow from your premises.
The author mentions the found…[Read more]

Nick,
You know those are useless without love. (1 Corinthians 13)
I believe the Peter learned to live according to the Spirit so at some point he was reborn in Spirit but Scripture does not explicitly say when.
In also does not tell us when he was immersed in the name of Jesus.

Nick,
It may depend on the translation.
In the NET Moses laid hands on Joshua and he was filled with the Spirit of Wisdom. (Deuteronomy 34:9) There is also two mentions of which Bezalel son of Uri is the subject both times. (Exodus 31:1-3 and 35:30-35)
Both Elizabeth and Zechariah in the new testament but still under the old covenant. (Luke…[Read more]

Nick,
Scripture does not literally say.
Instead it tells us they received the Holy Spirit in the sign of flames and manifested the gift of being understandable in many languages. Then Peter and the other apostles stood up and preached the gospel to the Jews and converts to Judaism that were present to hear them.

Terrarica,
Though I disagree with Nick on the time Jesus was born of Spirit his conviction that the Spirit of God and Jesus became one rings true and explains the words of Colossians 1:15-23.
I have previously cited 1 Timothy 2:5-6 as evidence Jesus is a human being in heaven.
I claim it is not written that Jesus changed from a body composed of…[Read more]

Nick,
I am not sure baptism in the Spirit is called an anointing in Scripture.
I do know we are told that Spirit gives birth to spirit and that is done when the Law is put in and written on the heart of a student-follower of Jesus. That occurs when a believer has has been immersed in water and is coming out of it. If you want to call this…[Read more]

You know the claims of St Johns gospel make him more than a man in his earthly walk, unless you want to say John’s gospel really applies to a non-earthly,risen or even symbolic mythical Christ,as some do.
I see where you can see it that way but he is a human being that was first chosen to receive and live by the Spirit and through w…[Read more]

You claim to stick to Scripture as they are written but it literally states there is one human being that mediates between humanity and God and that human being is Christ Jesus who sacrificed his life you and the whole world.

That is not what Scripture states.
Here is what it states:
1 Timothy 2:5Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
It literally states that Jesus has been a human being the whole time he has been in heaven.

you seem to put more confidence in the jews and men than in the message
Actually, I put more confidence in traditional interpretation to Scripture than I do in modern ones and it happens that the Jews were God’s people before they and those that call themselves Christians but were heretics, the church of Satan, divided from one…[Read more]

I try no to claim to have the Spirit in its role of advocate for to many that claim that are mistaken for their fruits testify otherwise. I hope that the Spirit is revealing the truth of Scripture but if so I am slow to come to understanding. There is still things, even about the gospel, I do not understand.

Im wondering how you can assume that im unrepentant?
I hope you are seeking God. If so then any obstacles Satan sets in your way will be temporary. In this case you fruit was in the form of a rigid thinking that is most likely based on denial. You have been indoctrinated to see John 17:5 in a certain way and you hold to it because it…[Read more]
