michaels,If we separate ourself to the extent you wish, then we will never be able to reach others. If you faith is not strong, I can see why you would not want to test what you know against what man tries to say. In that case, I would recommend that you merely avoid the forum on this subject. As your faith grows, you can take a peek and see if…[Read more]

Ken,We all have our beliefs. I too believed in the Trinity but am almost to the point of disbelief of it. I still hold on to it in some small way because 20 years is hard to get over. Plus, the human side of me wants fellowship with others and when you disbelieve the Trinity and people know it, many will break fellowship with you. I know we should…[Read more]

WJ,Actually, I did read the first 89 pages of the Trinity thread and then started participating. In those first 89 pages, I don't recall anyone really answering the questions I posed in this thread. In fact, I've yet to see a Trinitarian define what they feel the Trinity is on this board. Not once. There's a whole lot of back and forth about…[Read more]

Nick,The Jews followed YHWH (sometimes anyways
). Can you get any more advantageous than that? Let me ask you then, why would Yeshua need to be born of a virgin, of the Father and Mary, if he ended up just like the rest of us? Just so he could be called “Son of God”? There is Isaiah 7:14, but God could have accomplished this feat outside of the…[Read more]kejonn replied to the topic The word and the flesh in the forum Truth or Tradition 18 years, 8 months ago

CO,Quite simple, and I'm sure you can remember saying it without me finding it. You basically assert that the Gospels were for the Jews, and Pauls letters were for the Gentiles. You state that Paul “completed” the Gospel. I believe that he did no such thing, but merely emphasized it in a way that non-Jews could understand since they had not lived…[Read more]

Nick,Nothing about him being supernatural. I can't recall that I asserted that he was. Unless you think that the ability to completely resist sin is supernatural.
