Very interesting thing I heard today…and it rang so true in my soul. Israel was given the Sabbath and Christians moved away from it to Sunday. Muslims moved their day to Friday. Both use the Jewish scriptures as the basis of their religion. But the speaker said that he is certain it was definitely an act of God to move Christianity and Islam…[Read more]

MS,If the idea that you will be elohim excites you, good for you. Me, I'd rather live with a good ol' dose of humility and know who my God is.

BTW, don't Mormons support the idea that they will become “gods”?Here's a question. If Christians are to become “gods” and rule, and non-christians are tossed in the lake of fire, who will we rule?

In the Tanach, “hell” is “sheol” which is basically the place of the dead that ALL people go to until the time of judgment. The verses you list deal with “gehenna”, or the valley of Hinnon. It was a trash dump where trash was burned, and because trash was constantly being added, it was an “everlasting fire”.So, in this essence, that person you…[Read more]
