“Devil” means “opposer” and “Evil One” and …”Satan” and therefore also “Adversary”.The two terms (“Satan” and ” Devil”) are interchangeable and dependent on context and personal preference. Devil is never a Name, but used for descriptive effect in order to widens the scope of the term “Satan” which can, as said, be either a term or a Name.
