Hi Carmel,
Hi Gadam,
YOU: It may be about the virtue of wisdom only, or
it may be about the virtue of wisdom and Jesus. But the context will not allow this text to be about Jesus alone.
Yes, Gadam,
Ezekiel 28:12 And say to him: Thus saith the Lord God:
Thou wast the seal of resemblance, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
The above…

Hi Mike,
gadam, what event would signify a particular generation passing away? It would be the moment that the last person of everyone who was alive when the words were said finally died. For example, the so-called “Generation X” (or the Baby Boomer’s generation if you prefer) does not pass away until the very last Generation X’er or Baby Boom…

Hi Mike,
gadam: One thing we have to remember that we don’t have the original sayings of Jesus as per the NT Scholars.
What do you offer as proof of the above statement? You want proof on what NT scholars already proved? You can read any book like “Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why” is a book by Bart D. Ehrman or th…[Read more]

The Use of Psalm 16:8-11 in Acts 2:25-28 (an article by a Christian)
Introduction
The use of the Old Testament in the New is an intriguing area of study including detailed research on scores of explicit citations as well as allusions in an attempt to understand how the NT writers understood and used the Old Testament. The purpose of this study is…[Read more]gadam123 replied to the topic Was Jesus Jewish Messiah – What does the Hebrew Bible really say? in the forum Doctrinal Disagreements 4 years, 9 months ago
Hi brother Gene, thanks for your post to me.
Adam, how do they Handel the scripture that says, God would not suffer his Holy ones “body” to see corruption in the Grave. Does that not show a resurrection of a non decomposed human body. And also prove the person (his holy one) was indeed, put to death, How is that explained away by the Jews.<…

The deity in the Hebrew Bible, the God of Israel, is an indivisible Unity. The first
four of RaMBaM’s 13 Principles of Faith codify Judaism’s concept of God:
1. God exists
2. God is one and unique
3. God is incorporeal
4. God is eternal
The credo of traditional Judaism, the Sh’ma, describes God as being One:
Deuteronomy 6:4 – Hear, O Israel, the L…[Read more]gadam123 replied to the topic Was Jesus Jewish Messiah – What does the Hebrew Bible really say? in the forum Doctrinal Disagreements 4 years, 9 months ago
DEBUNKING “PROOF TEXTS” FROM THE PROVERBS
I. INTRODUCTION
The set of “messianic prophecies” identified by Christians in the Christian “Old Testament” is not congruent with the set of “messianic agenda items” developed by the Jewish prophets in the Hebrew Bible. Among the hundreds of alleged “messianic prophecy”-“fulfillment” pairs are three pas…[Read more]gadam123 replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 4 years, 9 months ago
Lady wisdom in Proverbs 1-9
Proverbs 8:1-36
In this ‘character sketch of wisdom’ (Brown 1996:loc. 412) wisdom is depicted as a person in Proverbs31 1:20-33, 8:1-36,32 and 9:1-6. In the ‘Wisdom speech’ (Murphy 1998:49) in 8:1-36 an encomium is found of wisdom ‘in terms of its paramount status, evidenced by the ordering of the world, all of w…[Read more]

The great Christian controversy behind Jesus’ origins is Prov 8:22-30;
a. The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way: God used wisdom and intelligence in the design of the universe. If we represent wisdom as a person, then it can be said that wisdom was with God in creation. In the beginning, before there was ever an earth, God used wis…[Read more]

Hi Mike,
This argument fails for the same two reasons it failed when Kathi made it.
If we translate as “possessed”, then it still means God didn’t originally possess wisdom, because the ACTION of possessing it was the first of his works. You do not take ACTION to possess something that you already have.
It obviously means “create”, since the n…gadam123 replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 4 years, 9 months ago
Hi Sis Kathi, thanks for your encouraging words.
Hi gadam123,
I remember you from back then. I’m glad that you can see that the NT teaches Jesus as God. Did you notice that it also teaches that he is the Lord of lords?
You are right about there being much confusion. That is good that you are seeking to sort it all out. Unity in truth is worth p…

……Continued from my previous post on Micah 5:2;
Micah was a prophet in the days of King Hezekiah of Judah. The key moment of his reign was the Assyrian threat on his kingdom when they laid siege to the capital city of Jerusalem. Hi Mike,
You:
Btw gadam, since you and I are debating about Micah 5:2 (an OT scripture), will you now reject the OT along with the NT? That was your argument, right? Since the NT causes debate, we should just pretend like it doesn’t exist, right? So will you now dump the OT as well? Just curious.
Me: Here is the explanation on Micah 5:2;…[Read more]

Hello Mike, thanks for your posts to me.
You:
You see that, gadam? This is why I’m here. This is how it is done. I can’t force the horses to drink, but it is a very light yoke for me to keep leading them to the water. Eventually, they might just accept the scriptures for what they clearly say, and stop twisting them. I mean, what if Kathi fi…

Hi Sis Kathi, thank you so much for your kindness and concern for me.

Hi Mike,
gadam: Now I am standing on the neutral ground and can clearly see the problem here.
Rejecting the NT is not a “neutral” position. It is a hard and very biased stance.

Me: I reject your evidence out of hand, therefore the sky remains g…

Hi Proclaimer,
Let’s look at what Jesus said more closely. It seems obvious that what Jesus is saying is going to take some time to be fulfilled. I will colour the parts that obviously cannot take place immediately or in the short-term. Clearly, you will see that Jesus was talking about a longer period of time than you are making out gadam.
