Likewise, we know that the Word was theos means the Word was divine as there is no definite article in John 1:1c.
Hi Proclaimer, I keep on hear this from the mouth of many non-trinitarians. I wonder how they differentiate ‘the word’ from ‘word’? Similarly how divine is different from God? So you want to differentiate your self from Trinitarians…[Read more]

Mike
John 1:3 give the answer
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
HIM = THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GODThis is the fate of the NT it contradicts its own Christology. I hope Mike and other non-trinitarians will notice this problem. They also believe Jesus’ preexistence as the word in the beginning with…[Read more]

Like I said, I speak of one YHVH who is two persons, not two persons who are of different YHVH families. There is one family of YHVH. The Father and His Son are the two members with eternal and divine essence. Do you think that Proclaimer and Mike don’t believe that there is a family of YHVH?

Do you believe that there is a family of God? If so, who are the members of that family?
Hi Sis Kathi, thanks for your reply to my post. But sorry I have not found any thing on the family of God in the Hebrew Bible.
Can you be more specific? Also, it is not my desire to spend much time on here for years to win “against” anyone, that would not be…

One question to you Adam, do you see in the NT that the Father is also identifying His
Son as YHVH? I’m not asking you if you agree that the Son is also YHVH, I’m just asking if you agree that it appears that way specifically from Heb. 1. Please just give me a “yes” or a “no.”LU
P.S. I’ll respond to your comment about winning “against” non…

Suffering Messiah was not known to Jews of Jesus’ time the same is clearly evident even in the earliest strands of the NT writings. Here are few such verses;
1 Cor 1:
23 but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
Here Paul clearly knew that suffering Messiah was not accepted by the Jews of his ti…[Read more]

Adam, do you know the saying “hindsight is 20/20”?
If not, it is explained here:
It is easier to clearly reevaluate past actions or decisions than when they are being made or done; things are clearer or more obvious when they are reflected upon. A reference to the visual acuity of normal eyesight (20/20 vis…

Hi Proclaimer,
This refers to the Messiah’s first coming and rejection. No mystery here. Jesus is the only one who fulfilled this prophecy.
As per Hebrew Bible there are no two comings of Messiah it is purely Christian creation. Coming to Isaiah 53 as I quoted in other thread it is not about any Messiah. Here again I am quoting the arguments on I…[Read more]

§1. The Ugaritic and Canaanite Background to the Divine Council
It is generally accepted that Israelite religion “was much closer to Canaanite religion” than to the religion that the Hebrew Bible advocates (Cook 2005: 7). Paul understands the Father is also our “kurios” Lord, and Paul understands that Jesus is also our theos. In the context of 1 Cor 8:6, Paul is identifying two persons who are our God and Lord. In the NT when the context is speaking about the Father and the Son, they are typically distinguished as God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. That doe…
