    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Jn 3.3
    Truly truly, I say to you, unless one is born
    of water
    and the Spirit,
    he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

    As you know being BORN OF the Spirit is having the Spirit enter our human vessel and dwell and ruling there. SPIRITUAL

      So why do you think that BEING BORN OF WATER HAS A MERE CARNAL MEANING?
      Because of the next verse…
      That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
      John 3:6 (KJV)

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Tithing mint, dill and cumin are not the weightier matters of the law.

    Love God…
    And love your neighbour as yourself.

    What God requires of you is that you act justly, love kindness and walk humbly with your God.

    These are.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Gal 2.16
    Nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works and f the law but through faith in Jesus Christ,
    even we have believed in Christ Jesus, thatwe might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works f the Law, since by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

    Works alone are dead and only faith…[Read more]

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Rom 6.3
    Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptised into Christ Jesus have been baptised into his death?
    Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead
    through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

    Col 2.12
    Having been buried…[Read more]

    Heb 10.21
    And since we have a great priest over the house of God, Let was s draw near,
    will a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean
    from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    I assure you the waters of childbirth bear little resemblance to pure water.
    Being born of woman does not save anyone.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    CONTEXT.
    Jn 3.3
    ..unless one is born AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
    JN 3.7
    You must be BORN AGAIN.
    These verses confirm that Jesus is not speaking of natural birth but rebirth.

    And the rebirth is of God by His Spirit
    JN 3.8
    So it is with everyone who is BORN OF THE SPIRIT
    Jn 1.13
    Those who were born, not of blood, not of…[Read more]

      You must be BORN AGAIN.
      These verses confirm that Jesus is not speaking of natural birth but rebirth.
      Correct Nick, “born again” does not mean “born of water” but rather “born of the spirit”

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    What are THE WORKS OF THE LAW?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    So we must be born OF WATER.
    SUCH USAGE DOES NOT OCCUR IN SCRIPTURE.
    You stand alone.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      born OF WATER. you say means water baptism
      SUCH USAGE DOES NOT OCCUR IN SCRIPTURE.
      You stand alone.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    How was Jesus BORN OF WATER at his birth?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Yes he was born under the Law…at his birth.
    Subject to the law he obeyed it, fulfilled it and never sinned.
    He proved that the Law was fair and it was capable of making a man clean.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      Scripture doesn’t agree with your opinion…
      “the Law was fair and it was capable of making a man clean” – Nick
      “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law” (Gal 2:16)

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Thank you for your opinion.
    Scriptural evidence would make it more relevant.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    The law is summarised in two requirements involving love
    Did the Master fail in your eyes?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    It is about faith from the beginning to the end.
    Do you doubt the Master had faith?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Surely you know he was not dependant on the WORKS OF THE LAW.?

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    But you make it up.
    Find truth in scripture.

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    At hs birth he was behind the 8 ball.
    Gal4.4
    But when the fullness of the time came,
    God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law.
    Job 25.4
    How can a man be just with God!
    Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?
    Even the moon has no brightness and the stars are not pure in His sight.
    How much less man, that maggot,…[Read more]

      Hi Nick, he was “born under the Law” at birth.
      He WASN’T “born under the Law” by being obedient to it before “water baptism”
      Neither was he “born of water” when he was baptized by John, that too was at birth

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed.
    We know he was tempted like us but he never sinned.
    He was never carried away and enticed by his own lusts. Jas 1.13
    The words of his mouth and the meditation of his heart were acceptable in the sight of God.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      But this verse says…
      “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law” (Gal 2:16)
      and you say Jesus was. How do you account for this?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    No our Master is an overcomer( rev3.21). Surely you know these things.
    By obedience to the Law and with the grace of God he came to the Jordan clean and not needing the forgiveness of his Father.

      “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law” (Gal 2:16)

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Anyone in the kingdom can baptise.
    Paul’s main mission was much more important and he was uniquely equipped to fulfil it.
