“Yes” or “No”
Jodi says “Yes”
I say “No”
What say you?
No more trying to walk the fence Gene,
you either agree with me or agree with Jodi.

Berean,
Repeating yourself over and over do not make YOUR words to become true ???
Ed J replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 4 years, 1 month ago
Edj….No, what Jodi says , is the the word of God
FALSE!
Jesus is named THE WORD OF GOD (post #866532)
Jodi says Jesus is called “The Word” of God, while I do not…
…So how can you (out of “FreeWill”) say Jodi and I are both correct?
Who do you you agree with me or Jodi?Ed J replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 4 years, 1 month ago
Berean,
Compare Rev 19:13 to Isaiah 63:
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” (Rev 19:13)
“Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

To all……Jodi and Edj, are both right. JESUS himself is not the Word of God
Gene,
Jodi says Jesus is called “The Word” of God, while I do not…
So how can Jodi and I both be correct?
Who do you you agree with me or Jodi?

What is incorrect though, is that you think #2 means “The Word” is Jesus; which of course is untrue.
So your actually still saying that he is indeed Jesus, but not the Word of God. This is a double standard. If he has both these names then why is he only one of them?

Jesus does not have the name “The Word” – this is a rel…[Read more]

Do you affirm that 1 and 2 in verse Rev 20:4 are referring to different things?

1. His name is Jesus. That means he is Jesus.
2. His name is The Word of God. That means he is the Word of God.Tell me Ed J, why is 1 correct and 2 wrong?
Hi T8,
Actually they both are true.
What is incorrect though, is that you think #2 means “The Word” is Jesus; which of course is untrue.

mike, (1 John 1:1) “our hands have handled, of the Word of life”
Hi Mike,
This verse is about John and other apostles talking part in writing “The Bible”.
…it does not mean that thay were touching Jesus flesh. You get so far off tract when you don’t understand…
“The Word” of God is God’s “HolySpirit”, not Jesus:
“For I have not spoken…[Read more]

Here is a second witness (Isaiah 28:11) to the interpretation of the verse I gave.
“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.” (Isaiah 28:11)

Hi Everyone,
I believe there is evidence to suggest this is true…
Here is one such example (1 Corinthians 14:27):
“If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three,
and that by course; and let one interpret.” (1 Corinthians 14:27)On the face value context: we see that Shaool is referring to Church…[Read more]

Hi T8,
I didn’t say the word “YET” was implied in that verse, I said it was implied in this verse….
“calleth those things which be not (yet) as though they were” (Romans 4:17)
And the reason it is implied is obvious:
Because God is not calling things…[Read more]
