John 12 also says that God had blinded their minds and hardened their hearts (John 12:40-42). If “God” in 2 Corinthians 4:4 is satan, then the only conclusion is that God and satan are in league together blinding the minds of men.–kjThis is an interesting point. Ok. Is there anyone who understands grammar and can say whether his argument about…[Read more]

Quote (t8 @ Oct. 17 2012,09:10)The problem Tim is when you discount God, you are then forced to believe that everything came from nothing which is impossible, or from an eternal thing that has no life or intelligence, yet produced it anyway. You need to take a few steps back because your myth idea is blinding you from the glaring obvious.T8,…[Read more]

“Or better yet, why does the question “Is there a God?” arise to every person?”This question occurs to every person who was raised with parents who believed in god. I do not think this question occurs to much of the world: the Muslim, communist, type countries, I don't think it occurs to them to ask this question.

“I wanted to ask, why do you “think” that humans believe in God?”I think MOST humans believe in god for the same reason that children grow up believing in Santa Claus–they believe their parents, find the belief comforting, emotionally supportive. And of course I would think he would say that humans are genetically programmed to find patterns…[Read more]

Ive often wondered and admired at how puddles fit the holes they are in so perfectly. Another miracle that cannot be explained. There was a study that just came out showing that in the past 6 years, athiests as a group have increased by 500%, going from 1% to 5% in the US, if I remember. (Can someone find this study)

Terrarica, there is a huge difference between being “mighty” (powerful, strong, etc) and being ALL mighty. If you are almighty, you are of course a mighty one (a god). If you are a mighty one, that doesn't mean you are almighty though.Examples: angels were called gods. (mighty ones.) But they aren't almighty.Israelite judges were called gods.…[Read more]

Is there any way to determine what the common people spoke back there at that time? It almost seems odd to me that it's not easier to figure this out, or that somewhere, some ancient didn't say what they were written in.
