Quote This is not Disneyland but good solid kiwi blokes live over here and we do not need teddies or slinkies, whatever they are, and one could get arrested asking for such a thing in NZ. Quote Anyway who else thinks God appears as a slinky, or is this rather more like what some children call their 'invisible friends'?I think I'm confused as to…[Read more]

Quote Hi david,There are many other groups who have divided loyalties and serve other governments they regard as greater than their elected one such as Catholicism and the Eastern religious groups. That's just it Nick. We do not have “divided loyalties.” We are loyal to God's kingdom. We are completely undivided, in every way, including by…[Read more]

Ok, I'm not LEAVING the planet, or dying. I'm just most likely going to be greatly taxed for time, and I feel this will be something that suffers as a consequence. But thanks for the words.

Today, there was a documentary on JW's. Unlike most negative ones, this one had some truth in it. It was called:”Chartering the Charter–Jehovah's Witnesses role in Canada's freedoms.I only caught the last 10 minutes of it. It was about how a small group of people (JW's in Canada) defended and legally established the right to preach the good…[Read more]

Quote I am female too. Good to have you here. You're female Cubes? Really? This scripture just came to mind. I like it.GALATIANS 3:28“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for YOU are all one in union with Christ Jesus.”

Quote David,You avoid answering a generalized question by adding specifics. Mercy did not ask for a judgement if he was saved, but do the JW's believe non-adherents can be saved, what is the offical position? HI Seekingtruth, first, he asked a general question, but then I thought he did specifify “t8, Nick, H, self” as examples. There is a reason,…[Read more]

Quote Hi Randy,Excuse my ignorance but what is a slinky?Does the slinky still appear in your life at times?YOu've never had a slinky!?Nick, urgent. Tomorow, or today, or whenever morning comes. I'm not sure what time it is there–you must go and buy one. YOu missed out my friend. You missed out on the slinky experience. ARe there stairs in…[Read more]

Quote Don't try to be so clever with words you dig a deep hole for yourself with them. Not trying to be clever. You stated that if Jesus was the Angel of the Lord, who is the Son of God?This is not a sound way to reason, as I showed by stating simply that many in the Bible have more than one role, more than one name, more than one position.

Quote Do you believe they are infallible? JW's are imperfect humans, as we all are. They have corrected themselves even more than Nick has corrected himself. When they come to learn that something is wrong, they humbly change. Perhaps you haven't gotten an answer because those who you've asked are not judges ruling in heaven with Christ.I am…[Read more]

Quote I don't think that the possiblity of Jesus being the Angel of the Lord does not have a basis in scripture. It clearly has evidence. Can I proclaim beyond doubt? Dictionaries, Encylopedias the world over, state the plain truth that everything Jehovah's Witnesses believe, the way we act, it is all based on our Biblical beliefs. So, you're saying that those who have made it their aim to oppose Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones that have a “sure hope.” Nick, these ones have the least hope, of anyone. Their only goal is to turn men away from Jehovah. The Bible speaks of apostates in a much different light then you do.

On being asked by THE PHARISEES when the kingdom of God was coming, he said the words you quoted above.”in your midst” is a more accurate rendering, I believe. For the kingdom of God to be “in” the pharisees themselves, THE ONES WHOM JESUS WAS SPEAKING TO, makes little sense.Yes, the kingdom of God was in their midst, because the king of that…[Read more]

Oh, just to clear up what I said, the Bible specifically condemns contact with apostates. Because of the nature of this forum and because the internet seems to be filled with JW apostates, one has to be extremely careful.
david replied to the topic An invitation to chat in the forum Chatroom 20 years ago
The internet is a dangerous place Nick. We are cautioned against many things, and rightly so. The main concern with something like this, is that apostates are very vocal. They form websites with anti-JW propaganda, mixures of lies with some truth. Speaking with interested ones about the Bible and telling people the wonderful hope we have…[Read more]
