First of all, I would like to ask . . . why the Sabbath was moved Although Christ was resurrected on the first day of the week (now called Sunday), the Bible contains no instruction to set aside that day of the week as sacred.“The retention of the old Pagan name of ‘Dies Solis,’ or ‘Sunday,’ for the weekly Christian festival, is, in great mea…[Read more]

“First of all, I would like to ask . . . why some christians no longer hold the Sabbath anymore.”Ex. 31:16, 17:“The sons of Israel must keep the sabbath, so as to carry out the sabbath during their generations. It is a covenant to time indefinite . Between me and the sons of Israel it is a sign to time indefinite.” Notice that sabbath obs…[Read more]

T8, I've been looking through this site. There are many threads that overlap or are virtually the same. There are at least 10 threads on the Bible and Bible translations, for example. I was wondering if these could be grouped into one section. I think the Bible in itself is an important enough subject to have it's own section, like the…[Read more]

This conversation didn't go very far, and I think it was a good question.

You are right. He that boasts, let him boast in Jehovah. But when a Christian tells a buddhist that being a follower of Christ is a good thing (which is true) is that boasting?Apparently, you can't actually argue with what I said, so you try to redirect the conversation. A fallacy.

It turns out I'm 100% Jehovah's Witness.Oddly, and impossibly mathematically speaking, I also seem to be 100% Mormon and 87% Orthodox Judaism.

I noticed David defending himself on the JW's view of the Kingdom of Heaven. I am not a JW and do not agree with them on some of their doctrines I am aware of.However, this is one area where I think they are one of the few organizations teaching the truth. And, we are the only organizition who would seem to be fulfilling this scripture, in regard…[Read more]

I once asked for list of groups, organized groups that dis believe the trinity belief. I'm certain that mormonism was listed among them. But I don't think it can be.
