I just like this quote. “You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother.”- Albert Einstein

Regarding Babylon: “She will never be inhabited.” (Is 13:19,20)That's a bold statement. To predict permanent desolation for a sprawling city occupying a strategic location! You would normally expect a city would be rebuilt if ruined. Isaiah's words eventually came true. Today, the site of ancient Babylon “is flat, hot, deserted and dusty,”…[Read more]

Quote 1. No man has ever seen God.–david “No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom with the Father is the one that has explained him.” (John 1:18)And theres a bunch of other scriptures that make it obvious that people weren't actually seeing the person of God himself, but usually angelic representatives. But,…[Read more]

Quote You have not disproved the fact of evolution.I'm going to look for a list of facts that are no longer facts….”a scientific fact is an objective and verifiable observation.” (wikipedia.)To my knowledge, no one has observed evolution of one species into another and it is not verifiable. If it is, I'd like it verified.

Stu, I can't remember, are you an agnostic or an athiest. I had thought you were an agnostic, but you may as well just call yourself an athiest, because if you are actually an agnostic, you're a rather foolish one.Agnosticism is the position of believing that knowledge of the existence or non-existence of God is impossible. But if you can't be…[Read more]

Quote Nobody is in Heaven except He that came from Heaven right now.Im4, do you believe anyone ever goes to heaven?Quote Hi David,John spoke with one of the ELDERS.How could this elder have been symbolic? Well Nick, since the things John was seeing were of the future (taking place in the “lord's day” (1:10) how could that person have been real?…[Read more]

Hi Nick.Your question is only meant to mislead. Look at the scriptures. What do they say? I too believe the 24 elders of Revelation are symbolic…but symbolic of humans who have been given that special privilege.

Quote Hi Stu,Do you exist? Why should we believe you exist?1. No man has ever seen God.2. No man has ever seen evolution. You can argue that there is proof for each. You can put your faith in each.Since this thread is about the Bible, why don't I give one instance where I think the Bible makes a strong claim that it is from God.Regarding Babylon:…[Read more]

I personally think we should shut this thread down, since it exactly like the “do men ever go to heaven” thread. But since I don't see that happening, let me say this. While the Bible certainly does hold out that the meek will inherit the earth (Ps 37:11,29; mat 5:5, etc) I believe there is ample evidence for some going to heaven, specifically,…[Read more]

Quote Do you have an intelligent point to make My point stu, that I think you must have missed (as you went on to explain the difference between between living things and non-living things for the 14 time) is that mostly, it seems like you sit around discussing the “patterns” that humans have found between different species. Yes, humans see…[Read more]

Quote Think of nothing. Then think of everything. How did nothing become something and then everything.Instead of discussing this, or the impossible against all odds, even the improbable ones theory of molecular evolution, the evolutionists like to stay in their safe place: Using their imagination to connect the dots of animals. Hey, they all look…[Read more]

Ok, how does this work, the believers only thing. Tow is the one that started this thread. But he's not allowed in it? HE'll just create another thread of similar content. But it will be a quiet place perhaps. I didn't even notice the “believers only” thing until just a minute ago. So is the vote done, then?

Dan 9 says he (the annointed one; Messiah) will “abolish sacrifice.”Is 53 says he (the righteous servant) “poured out his soul to death. . .and he bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors.”In the law, various animal sacrifices, from bull to pigeon, were used, according to the position and circumstances of the one(s) whose sin was…[Read more]
