Yes, scholars can be wrong. But that vast majority of scholars from John, down to today have accepted that John is the writer of that book. There are always the conspiracy lovers, but as Kejonn himself admitted, this idea of lazarus being the writer is based on “nothing really.”John 20:21,24THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS USED TO LOVE . . .THE ONE WHO…[Read more]

God has certainly set blood apart for a special use. What is the designated use of blood in the Bible?“For the soul of the flesh is in the blood, and I myself have put it upon the altar for you to make atonement for your souls, because it is the blood that makes atonement by the soul in it.” (Le 17:11) “The soul of every sort of flesh is its b…[Read more]

Quote I was not referring to what Jesus did but his pointing out what David did. What do you have to say about King David? Alright.According to Leviticus 24:5-9, the loaves of presentation that were replaced on each Sabbath were reserved for the priests to eat. THE PRINCIPLE BEHIND THIS use was that the loaves were holy and were to serve as food…[Read more]

Quote David,Why would Peter say this about one of the twelve apostles? Joh 21:20 Peter, turning around, *saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” Joh 21:21 So Peter seeing him *said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this…[Read more]

John 20:21,24THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS USED TO LOVE . . .THE ONE WHO AT THE EVENING MEAL . . .THIS IS THE DISCIPLE that bears witness about these things and THAT WROTE THESE THINGSI have often said and stand by my belief that the bible is man's way of viewing God. “Looking at the intensity of this force in relation to the others, some physicists figure this force to be 10 to the 40 times that of gravity. If this force were 10 to the 41 times that of gravity, (gravity would be proportionally weaker) the stars would be smaller, and the pressure of gravity in their interiors would not drive the temperature…[Read more]

Quote Witherington's best evidence, in my opinion, is that Lazarus is uniquely identified as one whom Jesus loved. Yes, Lazarus, and Martha and Mary are “uniquely” named in such a way.BUT NONE OF THESE WERE AT THE LORD'S SUPPER and we know that there was a DISCIPLE there whom Jesus loved. And we know that it is this disciple whom Jesus loved and…[Read more]

In any case, the “lazarus” idea, him being called “loved” by Jesus, along with Martha and Mary, does not make him the “disciple” whom Jesus loved and who was at the last supper with, and who wrote the book of John. According to Mathew, Mark and Luke's account, Lazarus was not there, and from Jesus' own words, he made a covenant with those ones…[Read more]

This thread is supposed to be on whether JW's are “Christians.” I have opened up the “blood” thread that deals exlusivily on this subject. As to whether JW's are Christians and actually live their lives by the Bible or are just ones who say and do not perform, the last few pages have answered that.
