Hello David,Oneness Pentecostals believe that God is One, and they quote Dueteronomy 6:4 heavily. They believe that God is one being, who revealed himself to man in 3 manifestations that are just roles or offices that the one true God fills. Father in creation, Son in redemption, Holy Spirit in regeneration. They use key scriptures like Isaiah…[Read more]

I respect your views,I just think that saying that God had help in the creation is a major road block to our fellow Jews. I will certainly look at those passages given and look at the Greek.

OneoftheLordsgenerals, David,I disagree with you both, this forum isn't a distraction or a tool of the enemy. For those like me who don't have bretheren to fellowship with personally, this forum has become a form of fellowship for me. Before I found this forum I just broke away from the Oneness movement. I was confused, angered, I felt like giving…[Read more]

yes sir Nick, I've done some research on the passage. Eusubius a bishop from Caesarea wrote a book called Evangelica Perfecta. He had a library with what was believed to be the original book of Matthew or a direct copy. He along with other eye witnesses testified that Matthew 28:19 didn't say “Baptizing them in the name of he Father, and of the…[Read more]

ok just checking Malcolm,I attended a United Pentecostal Church and studied with them for a couple of months. The language you used sounded like Oneness. The Oneness doctrine is quite crafty, I bought it for a while until I stopped picking and choosing scriptures and started letting the word speak to me.

Quote (sandra @ Mar. 31 2006,00:06)When you see all this discussion around 1 John 5:7, not actually being in the original scriptures, doesn't it make you wonder, what else has been added, or taken away? For example, the protestants say the Catholics added the Apocrypha, the Catholics say the protestants took them away. The Mormons have a c…[Read more]

Quote (malcolm ferris @ Mar. 30 2006,23:38)Regarding Matt 28:19 whether you want to believe it belongs in the Bible or not, it still doesn't prove a trinity of persons, it merely tells you that the NAME (singular) not names of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ. The name of the whole family of God is Jesus Christ also, the…[Read more]
