Hi everyone, Is this fruitful? Spirit is the breath of life.right? God's breath is spirit.right? A Soul is an individualization of the breath of life in a body whether it be spiritual or fleshy. This is how I am understanding these things with as few words as possible. After all it has to be a simple truth.right? I may be wrong, but, this is how…[Read more]

Hi T8,Quote What about the body?Does it not return to dust and do we not receive a spiritual body? Or is the spiritual body the old body resurrected and with extra dimensional qualities etc?Yes! I guess I didn't express myself clearly enough. I was using this thread as a learning tool and came to the conclusion that Genesis 2:7 was the God given…[Read more]

Hi Tim, Hope you had a good day today.Quote The only unusual thing about my indeavor to learn Jesus is my willingness to search alone, apart from organized religion, mostly by myself for a long period of time. I have read many books other than the Bible but I had an unshakeable belief in Jesus as being the representative of God.Same here.Quote In…[Read more]

Hi everyone,From reading scripture i cannot logically equate spirit to soul the reason is simply this:Genesis 2:7 (King James Version)7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. This to my mind clearly says that the prerequisites for a living soul are a…[Read more]

Hi Paladin, The clarity with which you present the text of scripture, the meaning of the words in Greek and English and the grammatical rules of these languages shows to me that your truly are a bible scholar. I for one appreciate very much what you are doing here. To be honest I read your posts and alot of other threads on this web-site before…[Read more]

Hi Mike, I know this question is directed towards Paladin:Quote I have not seen an answer to my question about who the “one man” is in Romans 5, and the scriptures you posted today surely don't answer my question. I want a NAME of the “one man” in Romans 5 – can you list the NAME of that person? But, i think he is going to respond with something…[Read more]

I'll play. According to to all the data and instrumentality used to measure the visible universe gravity theoretically appears to be a force that is eternal and infinite in it's scope and effect. :)

Or, I could use the first mention of the word soul in the Bible and how it was created:Genesis 2:7 (King James Version) 7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.and can easily a deductively logically say that having body and spirit created by God define…[Read more]

Hi Kerwin, How are you doing? Fine I hope. Brother, In my mind consiousness and essential self are both one and the same. Glad you had another word/word group to describe/identify soul though. Thanks! You know using reductive logic one could say that say that given the whole self is a combination of 3 things, namely, body, spirit, and soul then…[Read more]

Hi Tim, How are you? Hope you are doing ok today. I have read many of your posts and with the essense of your posts I have no problems with. I think you are understanding the bible, God, Jesus, from a different attitude or mental altitude than most people. You as most people an probably myself at one time or another can come off as strident…[Read more]

Hi Baker, Your post motivated me to do this: Hi everone,I did a bible search of the word soul to see if I could discern the qualities of the word soul as used in the bible. Took about 2 hours or so reading alot of scripture.1.) It's a living thing.2.) It has emotions3.) It can depart and return to a body.4.) God has a soul (Psalm 11:15)5.) It…[Read more]

Hi Ed,OK. Maybe i didn't think that one through. I am talking about the Kingdom of God being created after Jesus's ressurection. My understanding is that Jesus is ruling in God's stead until he hands it back over to him so I actually am referring to this creation so to speak.

Hi EdOK. I was just thinking that since it was describing the creation of the first Earth and Jesus is the creator of the second Earth type of idea they might correlate. Maybe i am reading to much into it.

Hi Ed,Quote You would you concur (with me) then that the water of John 3:5is really talking about the same water in Ephesians 5:26.Perhaps, but, first read Genesis 1:1-3 and see if you think there might be a correlation to that.

To all and especially Paladin, I came to this thread to learn from Paladin. I have no desire engage in any scriptural-based debate in this thread and will steadfastly refuse to do so from here on out. I hope I am making my mind and intentions perfectly clear on this point. Thank you and may God bless you and yours.

Hi Ed, I have yet to read in the bible that an image has been broken. I did, however, read this:9:6 “Whoever sheds human blood, 16 by other humans 17 must his blood be shed;for in God’s image 18 God 19 has made humankind.” (Gen 9:6)As to the purpose of Jesus dying, I thought it would be best to get that answer from Jesus himself, due to the f…[Read more]

Hi SF, By example i mean stuff like loving one another as he loves us, by realizing the greatest thing one friend can do for another is die for them, by living a life as a servant of God and such. I don't mean by making my life your life or anyone's life a re-run of Jesus' life. He had his life to live we each have our own. In fact Jesus said we…[Read more]

Hi Ed, I understand that baptism can be said to symbolise the death of the old person and the birth of the new person in Jesus Christ. Is this what you are talking about? Sorry for the two posts. I realized I hadn't talked to you about the 'death' bit until after i posted.May God keep you and yours in his eternal love.
