I guess that my question would be.Why didn't He just tell them He was God like He did Moses. Why was it necessary to prove that He could destroy anything that He wanted to.in order to prove that He was God?Tim

Why did God harden Pharoah’s heart and bring all of those plagues and deaths?Just so the Egyptians would know that He was God. That is why.Exd 7:3And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.Exd 7:5And the Egyptians shall know that I the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring o…[Read more]

Any time that I have questioned how a loving God could do some of the terrible things that the bible claims that God did, I have been given that same rehearsed answer. “He is a God of love, but He is also a God of justice.”I could never stretch my imagination enough to see justice displayed in the murdering of innocent women and childrenwho…[Read more]

In our pride and vanity, we do not want to admit it, but the truth of the scriptures is that every choice we make is a caused choice.“Freedom of choice” and “free moral agency” are false doctrines that defy the declarations of God.“Mans goings (good and evil) are of the LORD, how can man understand his own way?”Prov. 20:24“It is not of him that w…[Read more]

Hi cato, until we can wrap our minds around what the true meaning of the word elohiym wasin the minds of the Hebrews, it is difficult to know exactly who or what Jacob fought with. The Hebrews saw elohiym as plural, multiple powers, not specifically God.Jacob could have fought with a godlike being with much power, but our translators havechosen to…[Read more]

Quote (Not3in1 @ April 28 2008,03:13)Theo, good point to ponder.I believe that if you call yourself a Christian – you should use the NT as your guide for living and following the rules therein. And we are told that the disciples water baptized people. We are told that people believed, they were baptized, and they were “added” to their number. …[Read more]

It seems as though the people that see no wrong in those things are not related to Adam and Eve. They obviously never inherited the knowledge gained from eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They can't see the difference.Tim
