Hi Nick,God is one, and He exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I've already shown you that each of them is God, and that they are one God. God created man in the image of God. In the image of He created him. Male and female He created them. The man and the woman become one flesh. Two persons (actually three if…[Read more]

Hi Nick,God is one. I believe the Hebrew word in Deut. 6:4 is “echad.” This is the same word in Genesis 2:24, “they shall become one flesh.” There we see two persons who are one flesh. Where else have we been seeing this idea of “multiple persons, one being,” … hmmmmm ….Tim

Hi Nick,No, the Son, the Logos, is omniscient and always has been. Men are not. These verses speak of the human nature of Christ, not His divine nature.Tim

Hi WIT,Well, since we know Jesus did not become less divine on earth, and His Godhead knew all things, was omniscient, immortal, etc., we know therefore that these verses refer to Jesus in His manhood, which grew and learned. Tim

Hi Nick,You asked me for verse where “God” refers to the whole Trinity. Genesis 1 is such a verse. I'd say most of the OT mentioning of God or YHWH refers to the whole Trinity because the persons are not clearly distinguished. In the NT, the persons are distinguished. That's the difference between the Testaments. The OT shows the unity of…[Read more]

Hi WIT,Thanks for the rebuke. It's always good to be hit with some good Trinitarian truth. So I defer to my Trinitarian brethren. Jesus did not give up His omniscience while on earth. He knew all things, then as now.I hope everyone on this site joins me in repenting and embracing the truth of the Trinity.Tim

Hi Nick,We are told twice that Jesus knows all things. John 16:30 and 21:17. It looks to me like you're ignoring these Scriptures.Tim

Hi Nick,I'm not morally superior for saying who is and who is not a brother of Christ. That God has revealed His Son in me is grace, with no merit on my part. Are you not being morally superior when you call me a daughter of the whore of Babylon?Tim

Hi t8,Do you do whatever the Father and the Son do?Do you raise the dead, as the Father and the son do?Are all mean to honor you, even as they honor the Father and the Son?Do you make yourself equal to God?Jesus said the Father was greater than He while He was human, mortal, and about to be beaten and crucified the next day. Hi WIT,”Not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh, but by the taking of the manhood into God.” This phrase means that the two natures of Jesus, God and man, were preserved when Jesus became man. The verses I gave you showed that Jesus is both God and man, meaning that his Godhead did not cease to be by being converted into flesh. The word…[Read more]

Hi t8,We confess that Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of Very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father. That He is “God of God” follows the general principle that man begets man, dog begets dog, and “X begets X,” not, as most people…[Read more]

Dave,Sorry to spam on the 5:18 topic, but I have to make another point. I've heard it argued a lot on this site, “The Jews say Jesus is making Himself equal with God in 5:18, but then in 5:19 Jesus shows that He's not really equal with God.” Let's see if that's really true.In John 5:19, Jesus says that He can do nothing of Himself, unless it is…[Read more]
