Quote (princess @ Sep. 24 2011,22:12)Prince, I cannot find the comment you made in regards to atheists gathering together, however, I find it amusing that here in the US, they have many gatherings. There was an experiment done in Austria in the 1990s in which it was claimed that a signal had been sent across a wave barrier faster than the speed of light, using an effect called quantum tunneling. I'm not sure how seriously their data was taken. If the Americans can repeat this CERN experiment, and it turns out to be some effect like quantum…[Read more]

Quote (t8 @ Sep. 21 2011,10:15)Hi princess.I think the said person looked too closely at the pendulum to see if I was correct and it cracked him in the skull, judging by his comments at least.
I didn't defecate over Einstein's grave by claiming him as “one of mine”. Effectively, you did. I think the best thing you could do is to log in as…[Read more]Stu replied to the topic Albert Einstein sayings in the forum Creation & Science 14 years, 5 months ago

t8Quote to be honest, I don't read most of it That’s pretty clear. Quote because of what I do read, it seems lame to me as it lacks any creativity and is really just a bunch of 'no no nos, my bias doesn't agree with that' comments.I don’t create lies about things, if that is what you mean by creativity. I disagree it is bias, I don’t see you c…[Read more]

Quote (t8 @ Sep. 20 2011,23:07)Of course the pendulum idea is not representitive of what Albert said. I never implied that.I merely made an observation on how people see the extremes and miss the place where there is no extremity or bias and how history shows one group or view dominating, only to be replaced with an opposing but equally worse and…[Read more]

t8Quote Stu, do you not think for one minute that you do not believe in God because of poor understanding of causality? No, my disregard for your Imaginary Friend is based on the fact that you have never said in anything more than platitudes what it actually is that exists, and you have never made a serious claim for what it actually did. So I…[Read more]

Quote (t8 @ Sep. 20 2011,22:11)Quote (Stu @ Sep. 20 2011,18:01)Einstein was subtle in what he said. Are you subtle enough to understand it?From the Holy Wikipedia:”In a 1930 New York Times article, Einstein distinguished three styles which are usually intermixed in actual religious belief. A poor understanding of causality causes fear, and the…[Read more]

I disagree with several aspects of the atheist's claims:(i) “God” is a word. It is not an alternative explanation for anything. It is usually an excuse for not having an explanation.(ii) Nothing suggests a designer. Apart from artifacts known to have been produced by living things with intent, everything else looks as if no design has been…[Read more]

A bigger brain does not guarantee a higher intellect but a smaller brain limits the owner to a smaller intellect. I think you have quite a bit to learn about evolution by natural selection regarding how these changes occur. The body “knows” nothing. Women are just born with a pelvis that is either big enough to pass a child's head, or not. Those…[Read more]

Quote (t8 @ Sep. 19 2011,22:24)I strongly agree with this one.“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” Many blunders of science and religion can be boiled down to ignoring the other. There are plenty of examples.Ignoring belief in a creator for example leaves you with the foolish proposition that everything either cam…[Read more]
