Morning Star wrote:Don't some scriptures in Ezekiel say that the prophesied Messianic ruler in Israel will be Yahweh's servant? Hi 94 -It's an interesting belief you have, and I've heard this stated before. The problem is this: Jesus was his own person. Even Trinitarians to not want to “mix” the person who was Jesus with the other two persons of the triune God. They are seperate, yet One. So, this belief system really tugs at the heart of the trinitarian belief core.…[Read more]

MS – it will take me some time to digest all that you have given as evidence of your faith, and understanding about the name of God, and his Son. My hubby and I have a weekend off together, so I will be posting my response sometime next week. I know that by then we will have moved on to another topic, but I wanted to acknowledge your massive…[Read more]

WJ – thank you for the Bible link on Acts 20:28.There are quite a few other translations, however, that say, “Lord” instead of “God.” And that would make sense and be true with the rest of the Word, would it not? The Lord Jesus gave his blood for us. God did not die. Did God give his blood for us?

t8 or Nick: Did something happen to the “John 17:3” section of “Biblical Doctrine?” I had it on my tracker and now it has dissapeared? I can't seem to find it anywhere?Have a good night :)

WJ,Acts 20:28 has a footnote attached to it. Did you happen to notice that the little letter, “b” pulls your attention to the note at the bottom that reads: Many manuscripts “of the Lord.” Meaning, it was JESUS that bought them with his blood. Not God. That goes against your belief, does it not?Question: Did GOD die?The Word became flesh. A…[Read more]

Good point, Ken.I always ask my husband to pray for things I need a quick answer to……..he only has to go through one head…..I have to go through two! :)Man is the head of women – Christ is the head of man – God is the head of Christ

Phoenix – hang in there, sister! It was hard for me, too, when I denounced the so-called triune God. But remember that Jesus told us we would be persecuted. We would be hated. All because he was hated first. We are in Christ, and so we can go directly to the Father and ask for wisdom, and comfort. What is an “SDA?”

Actually, you didn't answer my question. But I understand why you cannot. These two questions, asked side-by-side, force you to look at Jesus as a seperate person from God, and that you cannot do, and still be a Trinitarian. If God has a spirit, and Jesus has a spirit, that makes “them” two individuals (not One God). Do you see?If not, then it…[Read more]

By asking you this question, it may help me answer you better:Do you believe that God has a spirit, and Jesus has a different spirit? Or do they SHARE the One spirit?

Thanks, Tim. It's nice to see your view. And if it's simple – it's better! :)

God's Holy spirit in me is my ticket into paradise.Evidence of the spirit of his Son working in me, and through me, is what qualifies me to be in paradise.I hope I'm starting to boil this down. I'm not sure I can say it any other way. Anyone else want to give a try? :)

In other words:God's Holy spirit is in me; I am the temple of God's spirit. The spirit of Christ works through me.There is a difference, I believe.

Actually, I think Tim tried to help me on this quote thing, too, and I confess, I just didn't get it. I'll check the help board, too. Sometimes it's just easier to do what you know instead of learning a new thing, ya know? Lazy, I guess. Not enough time, I guess. Not used to my new laptop yet, I guess…….anyway, thanks again.

Oh, no, no, no! No sarcasm here……I'm laughing right now. No, we are totally on the same page as far as the “through” thing is concerned. No. I meant the “wouldn't that make your day?” to be funny – not sarcastic. I re-read my post and just want to see if I can boil it down a bit further:Because I do not embrace the Trinity doctrine, I do not believe that there are three persons who make up one God. Therefore, I have God's Holy Spirit indwelling in me (the Father only). And the spirit of Jesus is available to all who will believe on him and be counted for…[Read more]
